On Jibson Dukureh's Enquiry

Those who are familiar with journalism know what date line is. When I received the tip from my most credible source at State House, it was too late for a full journalistic report. I therefore, for the interest of the Jibson Dukurehs of this world, thought it fitting to flag the news breaker thus: "My State House source says S. M. Dibba has been expelled from the House and Majanko Samusa nominated as MP for Badibou Central" end of quote. Since among other things good journalism incorporates hot news, Mr. Mbai used my '"flag" as a killer the following morning.

DISGRACED DIBBA

Therefore, in tandem with journalistic ethics and fair play, Mr. Mbai quoted my flag in his report. What Mr. Dukureh failed to do ( probably in a hurry to pick bones with me) was to read between the lines and know who said what. No where in my flag did I called Mr. Dibba a disgraced speaker , nor did I say he was expelled from the APRC.

However, conscious of the ferocity with which Mr. Dibba emasculated his once dynamic NCP coupled with the litany of draconian legislations he decreed together with APRC NAMS, it may not be far fetched to say that the near-octogenarian speaker has been rusticated from the APRC. More over, to base one's arguements on what is said to be normal according to to the Constitution is utterly ridiculous since that document like the rest of the status quo, is in fetters.

Always,
Ebrima G. Sankareh.

Editor’s note:

Mr. Dukureh, journalist Sankareh’s credibility is intact and we have no doubt in our mind that the said report was done in good faith. We respect your opinion and feel free to comment on our stories anytime you deem it fit. Perhaps, Bufaaleh should come in and shed more light on the constitutional issues you raised. Thanks for your observations.
