PA SALLAH SHUP UP IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY
PA SALLAH SHUP UP IF YOU HAVE NOTHING TO SAY

                   BY YANKUBA JAMBANG

I would like to inform Mr. pa Sillah Darboe that informing people of their rights, revealing truth and uncovering treachery and tyranny is nothing but serving the Almighty Allah. I want to make this clear to Pa Sallah and his likes that:

I, Yankuba Jambang has no personal grievance against Yahya Jammeh or anyone for that matter. None of my parents or family members ever worked for the former PPP government or have been executed by Jammeh's government. But one thing is clear to all and sundry, that Jammeh's government has inflicted and untold sufferings on Gambians since he came to power some 12 years ago.

I do not know where you [Pa Sillah] were when Gambian kids were brutally killed

I do not know where you were when Koro Ceesay was killed

I do not know where you were Gambians lost their fathers, uncles, brothers and husbands overnight.

I do not again know where you were when Deyda Hydara and Omar Barrow were shot dead at close range.

I do not know where you were when press offices were set ablaze in The Gambia.

I do not know where you were when the GPTC buses faded and disappered for good

I do not know, Pa Sillah, where you were when prices of basic commodities skyrocketted in the Gambia and the Gambian currency lost its value

May be Mr. Sillah, you lost no friend, a relative or loved ones to Jammeh's treacherous hands or you merely lack that human compuction to have sympathy for your fellow Gambians who are bearing the brunt of this tyranical regime. If you are a patriotic Gambian you gospel preaching should be directed to those who are driving Gambia into chaos: The gambia at this jucnture risks becoming a failed state with a lunatic in control.

You sounded in your article like a muslim. If you are, here is a piece of hadith of Prophet Muhammad (PBOH). This Hadith is "Sahir" meaning its uthenticity is not to be doubted because the text came from close followers of the prophet muhammd (PBOH) like Abu Bakr: "those who keep quiet and said nothing when others are doing wrong, have the weakest of faith in God".

The explanation of the hadith is that, if you see people doing wrong, use you strength to make them do right. If you cannot use your strength, then use your mouth to correct them by telling the truth. If you cannot talk about their wrong doing, then shup and let them continue doing wrong; this, according to Prophet Muhammad (PBOH) is the weakest of faith. Pa Sillah, then follow the teachings of Prophet Muhammad (PBOH) and shut up!

I was born and raised in the Gambia like you. This small country has never been this hard. Today your brothers spend two good days to get Basse in URD. 12 years ago scores of GPTC buses plied between Banjul and Basse, Gambisara, Farafenni, Jarra Soma, Kalagi and other destinations. Today none! Is this progress to you, Pa? 12 years ago there were school buses in the Gambia; today none! Sillah you are happy. 12 years ago, Sillah Gambians never imagined that their sons would disappear for good but today scores of them are without trace. Yet Sillah you sit on your ass where ever you are and you pretend to be happy.

Your threat to us with mishap or illness in our lives within 3 months further explains your ignorance in Islam or any other religion for that matter. A fool like does not even know that you may traced and be located for a possible prosecution under US law for threatening us while excercising our God given freedom of speech. The truth will prevail in the end. The recent events in the Gambia should be lessons for fools like when Jammeh could turned on and killed the very people who operated his dirty games against Gambians.
