ANOTHER COUP IN

……..MAJOR GANO AND CAPTAIN JATTA MOVED TO THE NIA

Major Lamin Gano and Captain Bayusupha Jatta have been moved to the NIA Head Quarters for further questioning, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The detained army officers are being held on allegations of undermining national security. They were briefly held at the Mile Two Central Prisons, but later moved to the NIA for further interrogations. The men were accused of plotting to overthrow the democratically elected Government of President Jammeh.

Sources close to the Army Command said both Major Gano and Captain Jatta have denied the allegations. “ The President is just paranoid. The rule coup is yet to take place. When we are ready, nothing can stop us. On that day, he will cry like a child. We will slaughter him like a chicken. This nonsense President will soon disappear.” Said the army official.

The army chief said almost every member of the armed forces is displeased with the current state of affairs. “ If he can kill our comrades, nothing will prevent him from coming after us. As I am speaking to you, he is planning to frame our boss Masaneh Kinteh. We are ready to die for this country. No more false arrest and killings.” He fumed.

Families of the detained security chiefs were denied access to their loved ones. “ We went to the NIA, but they denied having knowledge about Major Gano and Captain Jatta’s whereabouts. One of the NIA agents from Brikama told us that the men were detained at the agency. The official said the accused persons were implicated in a coup plot, which according to the official was at an advance stage.” Said a family member.
