POLICE GETS NEW IGP!!

IGP BEN JAMMEH FIRED

The Inspector General of police Bendic Jammeh has been fired. Ben Jammeh has been replaced by Police Commissioner Essa Badjie, who was until his appointment was serving as the OC for Serious Crimes. Essa Badjie widely known as Jusus has been named as Jammeh’s new successor.

Jesus served as a drug squad agent years back. He has been known for his hostile attitude against detainees. He uses force to solicit confession from detainees.

No reason has been adanced for IGP Jammeh's removal, but confirmed sources said the IGP had a strained relationship with the President Yahya Jammeh in the recent time. Ben is Jammeh's uncle and they both hailed from Kanilai.

The President has been accused of hiring his tribe men and women to key Government position. " Modou Gay being the IG'S Deputy was supposed to takeover from Ben, but this will never happened because the President wants only Jolla to lead the police and the army. Just watch the composition of his Government. There are more qualified officers in the Force to replace Ben, but Jesus being his informant, was handpicked to replce Ben. We are all disappointed by the President's move. We no longer have a professional  Force. Jesus is inexperienced to serve as IGP. That I can tell you. The President should not Jollanized the police." said a top police official in Banjul.

Meanwhile, Ben Jammeh has been moved to the Judiciary. Ben is a  Lawyer by profession. No reason has been advanced for his replacement.
