The disgraced former Managing Director of Daily Observer Company, Dida Halake, was this afternoon brought to the Kanifing Magistrates' Court but was little later returned to Kotu police station as his alleged crime could not be read out to him to enable him enter a plea.
Dressed in a loose boubou and looking emaciated and pensive, Dida was brought to the court under a police escort.
When his case was called up for mention, the prosecution, led by ASP Bojang, rose up to say that they did not intend to continue with the case at the juncture as it had intentions to put its house in order. Dida was not in the meantime charged with any crime even though he is alleged to have communicated seditious words to his boss.
Since the prosecution had sought to go back to the drawing board, the case was adjourned to an unannounced date but Dida is still to be bailed even though he had been acquitted by the court.

Sanneh stepped in the shoes of Abdou F.M. Badjie who was sacked from his position on Thursday.
