Court Subpoenas  Ex-NIA Boss Abdoulie Kujabi

….Abdoulie Kujabi In Dakar, Senegal!!!

Banjul:7/23/08-Abdoulie Kujabi,the former Director of Gambia National Intelligence Agency(NIA) was on Monday 21st July 2008 issued a subpoena compelling him to appear before the Banjul Magistrate Court.

   The order was issued by magistrate Kayode H. Olajubutu,senior magistrate at Banjul Magistrate court. The subpoena of the former NIA Director was triggered by the mentioning of his name in the trial of superintendent Malafi Sanyang by both the prosecution and defence counsel.

      As such presiding Magistrate Kayode deemed it necessary for the presence of ex-NIA boss arguing that he could be material in the trial.    

In a separate development, the Freedom Newspaper has been reliably informed that the erstwhile NIA DG Abdoulie Kujabi,  is not within the jurisdiction of The Gambia. Mr. Kujabi was reported to have left the country recently. He is currently in the Senegalese capital Dakar. He has joined dozens of Gambian asylees in that former French colony.
