CMC DIBBA,ASP JAMMEH STILL HELD INCOMMUNICADO

Banjul: 7/28/08-The former Crime Management Coordinator of the Gambia Police Force, Commissioner Burama Dibba and Assistant Superintendent of Police(ASP)Ebrima Kungi Jammeh,the former head of the serious crime unit, who were together arrested on 30 July and sacked from the force within a week, are still held in incommunicado at Mile Two Prison.

      According to our Official sources the family member and relatives of CMC Dibba, went to the Mile Two Prison to see him and also to give him his medicines but their efforts turn futile, that the authorities are yet to grant them access to him. The family lamented that Dibba's incarceration is to have a negative impact on his current undergoing treatment for a certain illness. Many prominent Gambians and family members lamented whether Dibba can endure the conditions in Mile Two Prison considering his age and health condition.

        For ASP Ebrima Jammeh,alias ''Kungi'',our sources divulged that his immediate family has now been forcefully evicted from the government quarters at Mile 7,at Bakau to his native village of Foni Bullock.The sources added that the case of ASP Jammeh and CMC Dibba are connected. The duo will clock sixty(60) days in incommunicado detention without trial on Wednesday 30 July.
