JULAKAY REARRESTED

….AFTER COURT GRANTS BAIL

Banjul:8/01/08-Ansumana Marehna alias Julakay, the proprietor of Julakay Enterprise was on Thursday 31st July, rearrested by the Gambian police. His latest arrest came just one day after he was granted bail at the Banjul Magistrate court, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report.

   The bail bond that was demanded was an amount of five hundred thousand dalasi with two Gambian Sureties owning developed landed properties in addition the sureties should be employed.

    Further investigation has shown that Mr.Marehna's rearrest was provoked by police intention to further bring new charges against him. He was initially charged with stealing thirteen Million Gambian Dalasi.

    Ansumana Marehna was on Thursday 31st July 2008 sighted at the Kanifing magistrate court.However,on the same date he was apparently taken to Banjul magistrate court, where his case was mentioned, but never proceed.
