Horomsi: Has Ousainou Darboe Been Bought???

….We Investigate Darboe ties with the APRC, His Double Standards, Poor Leadership, Greed, Unpatriotic, Selfish and whether Jammeh is Spying On Local Reporters!!!

Supporters of the United Democratic Party, should ask their leader to resign. Lawyer Ousainou Darboe is a selfish part time politician, who careless about the plight of his suffering supporters. Darboe has betrayed his supporters and countrymen. With all the atrocities taking place in the country, Darboe has sealed his mouth for obvious reasons. He is pretending as everything cool and dandy, when his supporters are perishing in jail. He only cares about his clients and not his party supporters. Darboe places more importance on his legal profession than politics. Chey domiaduana!!! Keymohbun!!! Nyinmangbeteh!! Does this man has moral conscience? How can he sleeps comfortably, when his own supporters are dying in jail? Besides, going to court to fight for their freedom, what is he doing to demand for their freedom? Why not organizing peaceful demonstrations? Don’t tell me that, you don’t have permit to organize such demos? Don’t tell me that your supporters are not ready for demo? Shame on Darboe!!

You see….Darboe is a fake!!! The other day, he commended Jammeh for having “zero tolerance” for criminals, but the same Darboe has proven to be a puppet to the dictatorship. He has compromised all he stood for over the years.

Perhaps, he’s too old for the job and careless about his countrymen and women. An opposition leader, who worth his salt would have been picking on this Government on a weekly or monthly basis. Darboe has ceased to become an active politician. He is too dormant so to speak.

Calling for the disbandment of the UDP, might sound too extreme, but in my view, Darboe should retire gracefully, since he has failed his supporters. It’s a waste of budget to fund such dormant parties. The UDP is currently on political holiday. The party’s leadership have went underground. No one is speaking out.

    Waa Juwara Must Be Laughing

Juwara joined the APRC with an open mind. He knew that it was a  waste of time to engage the dictatorship,  since Gambians were not ready for a change. Juwara is honest. Darboe is not honest. Darboe wants to appease the dictatorship at the same time to serve as an opposition leader. Darboe does not want to go to jail. Darboe does not want to die for his supporters and  country. He enjoys going to court to file bogus suits against the Government, when his supporters rights are being infringed. You can see how selfish the UDP leader is?

America never gains its freedom under silver platter. Civil Rights Activists, such as Martin Luther King, applied politics of non confrontation by organizing non-violent demos to demand for freedom. Dr. King and his group used the streets to liberate oppressed African American descendants and the  minority Asian Americans.  Freedom is never earned overnight. You got to be a true rights activist to achieve your set goals.

Darboe has an ego problem. He treats his supporters and party officials with contempt. He would be worse than Yahya Jammeh if elected into office. Here is a person who is not accountable to his party. He takes unilateral decisions, without consulting with the party’s general membership. A case in question was the illegal withdrawal of party funds to settle his unpaid income tax, ( Waa Juwara alleges in 2001)

Darboe cannot be critical of Yahya Jammeh, because this regime has a lot of dossiers about his clandestine activities. Darboe was an adviser to Yahya Jammeh during the early days of the transition period. Darboe has serious integrity problems. He does not want to upset his clients, because they are supporters of this regime. We can name names here. 

       UDP External Wing

The UDP External wing is doing a fantastic job. The New York wing is the one reminding us about the existence of UDP,  through its numerous alerts and press releases. Saihou Mballow and his group should be commended. They have not failed Gambians, but their leader Ousainou Numukunda Darboe has failed Gambians and friends of The Gambia.

Over US$80,000 dollars has been  reported embezzled at The Gambian Mission in Washington DC. Financial attaché Lamin Sanyang has given his version of the story by supplying the relevant authorities at the Foreign Ministry with information regarding the said missing money. We all know for a fact that the Auditor General’s office investigate matters relating to financial impropriety, but this important body was excluded from the investigations. A serious opposition leader could have pressured the Government to shed light on the said scandal. The Freedom Newspaper has published authentic communications bearing The Gambia Government letter heads, but Darboe is pretending as if the said story is insignificant. His supporters have contacted him over the matter, but he blatantly refuses to comment on the story. He does not want to offend Jammeh. Well progressive Gambians, will continue to offend Jammeh, if it means speaking the truth. We owe no obligation to Jammeh and the opposition. Period!!!

I have little respect for Darboe. He is not patriotic at all. If he was patriotic, he wouldn’t  have embarked on political holidays. What’s happening in The Gambia today is unacceptable. Our politicians are toothless bulldogs. They only talk during elections. What a nonsense!! Darboe should give chance to others to lead the party since he is too preoccupied with his legal profession.

        Hamat Bah Cowed By Jammeh

Hamat was reported to have apologized to President Jammeh, privately following threats that he was going to lock him up for spreading politics of tribalism in the country. He has since stopped commenting on the private press.

Hamat too has his own dirty side of the story. He was said to have reached a clandestine business deal with some Nigerian Chiefs, while serving as an MP. Whether true or false, Hamat Bah’s  image has been tainted by such clandestine errands. He uses his office to enrich himself. He is managing one of the hotels owned by the said Nigerian chiefs. Bah  is a businessman and not a politician. He can sell himself just to earn the Nigerian Nira. There are journalists currently digging on certain files, which would be released online. These files involved Hamat Bah and his Nigerian counterparts. If Hamat Bah can enter such contracts without any form transparency, then this guy is capable of selling The Gambia, if elected as a President. He would be worse than Yahya Jammeh. These are not serious politicians. They are out to enrich themselves.

      Jammeh tapping Reporters Phones!!

 Yahya Jammeh is scared of the internet. He has embarked on monitoring local reporters phone records. Sierra Leonean journalist Ousman Karbogo was grilled over his alleged ties with the Freedom Newspaper. The NIA asked him if he was speaking to the Editor of this paper. They bombarded the poor reporter with bunch of questions. So Pa Nderry is a threat to the establishment? Why questioning the wrong person(s). Who said Karbogo works for Freedom? Please leave the poor man alone.

Many journalists are scared to death. The NIA trails them in internet cafes, courthouses, markets and clubs. They are working very hard to trace the individuals filing stories to the Freedom Newspaper.

By the time they arrest me, Jammeh would be exterminated. That I can say with certainty. Jammeh will soon meet his death. He will soon announce another coup story, but that will not save him. He will die soon!!! Chi Jaama!
