General Tamba or Jammeh? One of them shows he is in control the other is pretending to be but not at all in control of events. What to expect if a sudden mutiny was to happen? BO Badjie Director General of National Intelligence Agency-Who is he?

Bo Badjie two years ago was a corporal at the state house, he was serving at the state guard. Bo Badjie was with the batch of President Jammeh's famous former close friend Ms Mama Njie. The archives still have what we wrote on her(see the archives of freedom news paper) about who Ms Mama Njie is and what she means to Jammeh at the personal level.

Bo Badjie benefited from the mass promotions at the state house two years back, this was some sort of a compensation package from the President after the March 2006 coup. Bo Badjie and others were the brutal figures who did all the torture and killing while being remote controlled by General Tamba. Bo Badjie owes a lot of gratitude to General Tamba.

He was one of those juniors of Tamba who were brought to the state house by the General and got promoted by the same General Tamba. Him Bo Badjie says it in the open. He says that he owes a big thank you to General Tamba whom he calls his mentor.

Bo Badjie was parachuted from the rank of corporal to the rank of Captain without having gone through any officer course or training. Like Ms Mama Njie he was also promoted from corporal to Lt Bo Badjie even hopped to reach an additional spot. This same unlettered and untrained officer whose expertise lies on nothing but whipping detainees is the current head of the Gambia's intelligence department-NIA. What else should we expect other than him reporting to General Tamba before sending a PDP to the President's office?

In fact, that is not the danger here. The danger is Bo Badjie does not even know what intelligence means when it comes to national interest. For him he is loyal to those who helped him reach a rank he never dreamt of touching when he joined the forces rather than owing his loyalty to the flag or our national integrity.

IGP Ensa Badjie was promoted to the rank of sub inspector during the days of Jai Sowe at the police head quarters. He is one of those unlettered officers who barely knows how to read and write. He performs his functions at the pleasure of General Tamba. Indeed for obvious reasons. His own brother was fixed to head the GNA-Gambia National Army Training wing. He was given that responsibility to serve as a deterrent against elements who they accuse of joining the army to destabilize the regime. For people like Ousman,ML Jarju,Bo Badjie and Ensa Badjie they are guarding a tribal network not a state. Why would President Jammeh or CDS Tamba think these key positions should be manned by their kinsmen is any body's guess! If President Jammeh believes in he was democratically elected by all tribes then why would he distrust the others?

Who is loyal to Jammeh or who is loyal to CDS Tamba in this octopus network of tribal strings? We will find out as time goes on!

3-Army Training wing-headed by Ousman Badjie brother of IGP Ensa Badjie

4-CDS-Chief of Defense Staff-General Lang Tombong Tamba a kinsman of President Jammeh who many know is the worst soldier when it comes to combat but is heading trained men and women in uniform because he is close to the President.

5-Commander-in-Chief-President Yahya Jammeh who has decided to place CDS Tamba on top of all in the army for tribal reasons. In return Tamba is fixing his loyalists around the Presidency. What is true or false in all this mix-max?

There are perceptions in and out of The Gambia saying if Jammeh was die or be chased out today General Tamba could step in and help usher the country through a short transition period.  That is one of the greatest deceptive traps our country can fall into after the July 22nd coup. Of course this is not meant to implicate him he knows it is being said. I 'Bulfaaleh' see worst tenets of brutality in Tamba's being than those in Jammeh. Imagine who Tamba is then. Many people say he is cool and nice but one thing they forget is that it is when this cool man came near Jammeh that he killed Deyda,Daba Marenah and many more.

Would Gambians allow themselves to be so gullible then be lured into another Jangfaa from another Soldier? If we ever sit around and make a good man out of Tamba then help him remove Jammeh from power we will all regret that.

Walking Gambians through a transition has already been tasted and it does not taste good!

Let us not stay silent let us avert the current trend and stop the hiding forces of evil.
