EDITORIAL:SIX INJURED CASAMANCE REBELS AT THE RVTH-OUR REACTION!!!

    EDITORIAL

Our lead story on the six injured Casamance rebels hospitalized at the nation’s main hospital, the RVTH is a cause for concern. We have no problem with the government of the day providing health services to the sick, the injured and the disabled, but it should be done in an open and transparent manner. The Jammeh government risked once again been accused of aiding and abetting MFDC rebels, in view of the non announcement of the arrival of the injured MFDC fighters in our soil. The Gambia is a small country and it is going to be difficult to bury such cases under the carpet. Senegal is monitoring The Gambia very closely and this regime should allay fears raised in the past that it is harboring Casamance fighters.

JAMMEH HARBORING MFDC INJURED REBELS!!!

The argument that Jammeh is trying to pay back to Senegal do not hold water. After all, what crime have Senegal committed to warrant such cover up moves? In the absence of solid evidence, no body with his or her right mind will buy those wild accusations directed against the Wade government by the coup suspects. Jammeh is creating a dangerous precedence between the two sister countries. Let him not be fooled by anybody that The Gambia is more equipped than Senegal militarily.

For Jammeh to brag that he will wipe out countries bent on destabilizing The Gambia, from the phase of the earth is not only regrettable, but shocking to say the least. Such misplaced and senseless statements are recipe for war. Jammeh has the weakest military on this universe and his ranting will only sow seeds of discord between the two countries.

COUP SUSPECT JASSEH SAYS HE WAS INTOUCH

WITH AMBASSADOR NJUGA NJIE

Let nurture our ailing peace in the interest of the nation. Declaring war at this hour against sovereign nations that are peace loving countries will only isolate our dear country from the civilized world. When all nations are striving to meet the democratic goals, Jammeh is still proving to be non democratic. He is not only a threat to sub regional peace, but to entire humanity. The day he will pay for the atrocities he committed against Gambians and the world at large is nearing.

Interestingly, the government paper, the Daily Observer is not reporting about the presence of the injured Casamance rebels at the RVTH. This story is no secret in Banjul. We can publish the ward the patients are admitted and the doctor taking care of them. Why the silence Observer? Are you trying to cover up your boss’s dirty games? Well the Freedom Newspaper will not be a party to such cover ups. We will report the truth no matter who is affected. Your readers need to know about the presence of the said rebels at the RVTH.

WADE WITH THE

MFDC LEADER

It was the same Daily Observer, who tried to caricature Senegal by calling the French speaking country as “Ndumbayland.” This paper is hell bent on fuelling conflict between the two countries. Its useless management should bear in mind that The Gambia is bigger than any of them and their vicious attempts to provoke a neighboring country is the least unacceptable. We thought that the Rwandan genocide should served as a lesson to the media by now. The media should avoid using inflatatory languages that will undermine peace in any country. But what the Observer is doing today, is the opposite. Dr. Taal and his allies are using the medium to undermine sub-regional and national peace.

Little did Jammeh knows that Taal’s objective is to send him packing, because any uprising now will lead to his ultimate demise from power. There is growing discontent in that country. For the Observer, to use such hate editorials against Senegal and The Gambia as a nation is outrageous.

Jammeh’s own enemies are working with him. He seems to have devoted too much time on perceived enemies including this paper, when in actual fact his real enemies are right sitting before his eyes. Let intellectual prostitute Taal and his fellow drunkards continue with their unprofessional journalism line. We can bet that Jammeh stands to lose at the end of the day.

The sad thing is that most of these people at the Observer, writing the said hate editorials, are usually dead high when they sat behind their key boards. You do not expect such high individuals to wish good for our country. They, together with their allies go all out to manufacture stories just to defend the dictatorship. Each time the Freedom Newspaper came out with revealing and factual stories about the failed Jammeh government, they will try to come out with counter stories. The good thing is that Gambians no longer believed in what the Observer and their conspirators report these days.

The Freedom Newspaper is here to report issues that the Observer and their allies are afraid or not willing to report. We are resolute and will not be moved by such deceptive and journalistic lies employed by the Observer. We report the truth and nothing but the truth. So help us God to further succeed in our quest to expose the dirty games perpetrated by Jammeh and his murderous government. We rest our case.

You can reach the Editor of this paper by email at this address: editor@freedomnewspaper.com Feel free to make your views heard on some of the issues we report. At Freedom, we believe in free expression.
