Late Night White Horse Causes Panic In Kanilai

….As Jammeh Kills Three Suspected Witches

A late night white horse is creating panic and confusion at the President’s home village of Kanilai, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. The horse, which emerges unexpectedly at the wee hours, in some occasions dispersed soldiers on guard at the Presidential palace. The speeding horse appeared violent and is posed to harm anyone who tries to obstruct its movement within Kanilai.  A visibly panic stricken Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh was told by his marabout that some witches in the locality posed as a horse, with the ultimate aim of ending his administration. Jammeh was given a list of suspected witches by the said marabout, some whom were recently killed in Kanilai. Ceesay Jatta was among the murdered suspected witches. At least three suspected witches were killed on the spot.

The Kanilai secret killing of suspected witches is talk of the town these days. Gambians from all walks of life could be heard commenting on the news of the killing of the Kanilai suspected witches. The white horse is being linked to the killings.

The President jealously guards his position. Any information pertaining to his removal from power is never treated lightly. The Kanilai three happened to be unlucky, as they ran into the hands of trigger happy Jammeh assassins.

Yes, there is a white house running around Kanilai at night. No one seems to know where the said horse is coming from. The horse show up and disappears in an hour or so. What’s most amazing is that the horse sometimes violently chase out Jammeh’s  guards. The whole village is usually rendered chaotic when the white horse shows up at night.

There is this talk that the President was advised by his marabout to turn Kanilai as a CAPITAL. The marabout said the only way to deter the horse from showing up at night is to make Kanilai a regional Capital. This means that all surrounding villages must be twined to Kanialai. In other words, Kanilai would serve as the main administrative Capital. Talks are underway to find a lasting solution to the troubling late night white horse.

It’s unfortunate that the Kanilai suspected witches were used as rituals by the President to avenge the presence of the white horse. Those killed deserve to live. We condemn in strongest terms the President’s move to take the lives of these innocent individuals in the name of fighting demons.
