…. SHUT-UP SHERIFF BOJANG!
As I am writing Yankuba Touray, is in London with wife Mamy, but both Yanks and Sheriff campaigned that we stay home and wait for a rainy day! Who are you people trying to fool?

So Sheriff Bojang has protested against Dida Halake and other Gambian journalists and also thinking that certain journalists abroad are not qualified enough.
I wonder if Sheriff would have allowed anyone to react like that while he was an editor or managing director of the pro-government Daily Observer.
However, I totally agree with Sheriff that people must not file false claims against him without justification. I also equally hate gutter journalism.
Well, I am not sure whether Sheriff is a ‘419’ as he claimed but surely many believe that he could be a ‘Double Agent’ and ‘Jaliba’ to President Jammeh and other high ranking officials for his personal gains.
We all know how Sheriff loves to be recognised in public domain hence his struggle to be a false icon in journalism by siding with people many ordinary Gambians think are ‘corrupt’.
Also, it is absolutely false on his part to call journalists who are working very hard to enlighten Gambians as ‘run away’ or ‘self exile’ or ‘simi-illiterate egoists’.
I live in England for over 20 years and recently I met highly educated intelligent Gambian journalists in England studying respectable courses. So that statement is not convincing either.
Instead, I treat Sheriff’s ill-statement against journalists who provide us relevant information an insult to all Gambians. I hope President Jammeh did not brainwash him in believing what you believe in now.
Firstly, as a journalist, when Sheriff has the opportunity to help honestly enlighten his fellow Gambians, especially those of his home of Brikama, he woefully failed to do so.
Instead, Sheriff engaged in pro-Jammeh political campaigning and activities until people started to ask whether he was a ‘journalist’ or a ‘puppet’ or a ‘praise singer’. Thank God that Sheriff now has to harvest what he sows.
Again, it would have been nice and fair to inform us about his qualification in journalism as far as he thinks or believe others are not qualified as he is.
Since, Sheriff came to England, he never said what he does in the UK. I understand that one day he came and told his friends that he is a Student in London; the next day he said he is a lecturer.
We also remember when Sheriff undermined his own colleagues at the Observer. We remember his sinister moves with friend Fatoumata Jahumpha during the sale of Observer.
We remember what he did with all those Government officials and businessmen against journalism ethics.
What happen with the late journalist Omar Barrow’s fund?
What happened when the NIA searched his house and took away papers. Why did Sheriff decided to flee his home country when everything is that good over there?
What happened to his pro-government editorials? Sheriff advised Gambians to stay home and work or ‘go back to the land and farm’ while all the government officials I personally know of have their children and family members abroad aiming for a brighter future.
As I am writing, Yankuba Touray is in London with wife Mamy but both Yanks and Sheriff campaigned that we stay home and wait for a rainy day! Who are you people trying to fool?
I respect Sheriff’s opinion, but what we need is evidence and substances and not his usual literature and odd poems. Please don’t underrate us because Gambians are not fools.
About your relationship with President Jammeh, people should not have problem with that because that’s your personal interest or problem.
Also Jammeh is a self-imposed leader and he doesn’t care wherever he can get support from. He needs supporters of course and very happy to get people like you.
Equally, it is fair that you wish your former paymaster to succeed. Why not? But remember if you are really serious in helping President Jammeh, why do you decide to quit and run away?
Remember, President Jammeh knows his true friends and he always said so. Beside, good friends stick to one another. Or would you agree that you are a self exile Jaliba?
Finally, in my opinion the issue is not about Dida Halake or other journalists, instead it is about Sheriff Bojang’s double standard that is now after him. So Sheriff you just shut up!
