Over the past three years, we have witnessed the remarkable growth of this paper into a formidable and authoritative paper in disseminating news to the Gambians at home and abroad. Against all odds, you and your staff remained resilient and overly committed to making the paper what is today, a great source of news about the Gambia. The freedom newspaper has become the much-needed voice of the dissent in light of the autocratic rule in the Gambia, where dissension results to imprisonment and murder.
