Jammeh Receives $10 Million Bribery For The Resale Of GAMTEL!!!
…..Trailing The Banjul Mafia Economic Crime Activities
Fatim Badjie: The Minister Who Defy Jammeh And His Banjul Mafia
Leaks from the President’s office in Banjul say Yahya
Jammeh has received bribery in the sum of $10 Million dollars from the new Lebanese investors, in bid to authorize the resale of GAMTEL. Mr. Jammeh who received the said investors recently at the State House, has okayed for the sale of GAMTEL, a move which was strongly opposed by the fired Information Minister Fatim Badjie. The new investors will take full charge of both GAMTEL and GAMCEL operations in the country, said our well trusted highly placed sources.
Under the new deal continued our sources, Muhammed Bazzi and Amadou Samba shall served as the main focal point between the investors and the President. Our sources intimated that both Samba and Bazzi have business interest in the new deal, which is due to be finalized soon.
According to dependable sources, the newly hired Information Minister Omar Ndow is Jammeh’s “new economic crime pimp.” Ndow has been tasked among other things: facilitating the smooth sale of GAMTEL and GAMCEL to the new buyers, who had already invaded the state house. The new buyers had to offer $10 Million dollars bribery to the President just to secure the joint partnership deal, said our sources.
Case Background
The President said our sources has already given his word to the new buyers that GAMTEL and GAMCEL would be sold to them. Sources said the President had on numerous occasions invited Fatim Badjie to his Kanilai villa with the sole aim of luring her to dispose of GAMTEL to the new buyers, but Fatim said her conscience does not permit her to sign dubious contracts, only to be held accountable for her actions in years ahead.
Fatim Badjie continued our sources had turned down numerous Lebanese “ bogus” companies who had earlier expressed interest in buying GAMTEL. “ Each time Fatou looked at their companies background, there is barely nothing about their source of financial base. What happen is that….these are small businesses with no strong financial base. They posed as investors when they do not have necessary finances to run GAMTEL. All what they want is to get approval from Government, move in and use GAMTEL finances. Fatim opposed the deal based on such grounds,.” said a source close to the President.
Fatim Badjie according to sources was under heavy pressure from the President to help expedite the sale of GAMTEL. Little did Fatou knew that the President received bribes from the new buyers. Fatim was left with no alternative but to defy Jammeh’s pressure. She made it categorically clear to the President that she was not going to be a party to the sale of GAMTEL, which led to her subsequent sacking.
Fatim Badjie’s Legacy
Few days before her unceremonious sacking, Fatim was said to have conferred with her loved ones, announcing her intension of stepping down from the Government. Fatim believes that she was at the “ wrong place, at the wrong time.” It was never an easy decision for Fatou to part with Jammeh, a leader who invited her to his Government for the sake of empowering Gambian youths.
Following a close scrutiny of the situation, said our sources at the State House, Fatim Badjie decided to end her career with Government. But her planned resignation never materializes. Jammeh went ahead to fire her ahead of time.
Sources said Fatim Badjie is today the happiest woman in The Gambia. “ She is a very courageous woman. Despite her young age, she refused to be used by the President and his mafia group. This lady was bold enough to defy the most powerful group in The Gambia. She is siren and confidence looking. She is very happy at this hour,.”said our sources.
