Fatou Jaw Manneh Arrives In

Unspecified sources in the UK confirmed the presence of Journalist Fatou Jaw Manneh, in England. The journalist who was found guilty on sedition charges, was made to pay exorbitant court fines before she could regain her  freedom. Sources said the journalist is on a brief family visit to the UK. 

Fatou Jaw Manneh is a journalist, cum political activist. Her arrest and subsequent prosecution attracted a lot of local and international attention. She migrated to Dakar, Senegal immediately after her case.

While in Dakar, Fatou was busy trying to regulate her status. It's not clear if Fatou would return to the US. Sources said the journalist has secured a UK visa.

A  local Senegalese human rights group RADDO, was said to have played an important role in facilitating Fatou’s relocation to overseas. She is in the UK to see her kids, who were traumatized by their mother’s arrest.

While in Dakar, Fatou Jaw Manneh maintains a low profile. Sources said the journalist is apparently frustrated by some of her perceived friends, who for unexplained reasons decided to turn their back against her during the  months long trial.

Fatou Jaw Manneh could not be reached for immediate comment at press time.
