Gambia’s President Patronizes Prostitutes During Overseas Trips-Reveals A Top Gov’t Spy!!!!

……File Number One Released Over Jammeh’s Clandestine Prostitution Network

How Jammeh Met First Lady Zeinab Somma Jammeh?

By Modou Gibba, Kanilai Spy

Intellectual dishonesty is the cankerworm eating deep into the heart of our country. Of recent, the Gambia has hit the headlines for the wrong reason:  a so-called government policy on witchcraft, a policy that is not backed by the constitution of the country. The treachery became clearer when Halifa Sallah, the leader of the opposition NADD, activist and sociologist, challenged the practice that saw the abduction of people of every age  from their homes and kept in specially prepared locations  to be tortured and humiliated and forced to drink hallucinating concoctions in the name of  screening of witch.

According to the amended charge sheet drafted against Halifa, a clandestine policy to screen witches in the Gambia came to the public domain. During such operations, hired Guinean witch doctors  are usually escorted by military and police officers who could not possibly participate in these operations without the green light from the authorities. Now we know that the the President of the Gambia, Yahya Jammeh is the authority behind human right abuses in our country, as Halifa Sallah was charged with several counts of opposing a  government policy on screening of witches.

Amazingly, a once respected religious and opinion leader in the country, Imam Abdoulie Fatty of the State House Mosque, added his voice to the unpleasant developments taking place around the country, but by throwing support behind President Jammeh, and accusing of lying and distortion, those who associated the President with the witch hunting exercise. He went further to urge people to rally behind the President’s so-called good efforts of bringing progress and prosperity to the country.

But the question is, if Jammeh had not been a party to the witch screening operations that saw foreigners humiliating citizens of the country whose constitution he is sworn in to defend, why didn’t he intervene to put an end to these heinous crimes? The fact that Guinean nationals can operate in the Gambia in such a cruel manner and get away with their actions, speak volumes of the direct involvement of the President and the government of the Gambia. Even the intervention of prominent opposition figure to uncover that truth of the matter, was considered subversive. And yet the venerable Imam want us to believe otherwise. To me,  this is a classical case of intellectual dishonesty and a shirking of responsibility God has place on a person of Imam Fatty’s status. Does the Imam not remember scriptures that say that to tell truth to an unjust leader is a sacrifice (Jihad), and compromising principles or showing cowardice before an unjust leader is hypocritical and therefore ungodly?

This is precisely the reason why I am questioning the motive and sincerity of the Saudi educated cleric Imam fatty. The Imam can not pretend to be blind to the prevailing had reacted to this issue issues at hand, and therefore expected to correct himself by publicly condemning this disgraceful act and apologize to the public for misleading them. If not, he would be guilty of connivance and dishonesty.

The issue of witchcraft is almost as old as humanity itself. Sociologists and Social Anthropologists have studied this issue in great detail with almost all cultures that practice it. The Zande sub-culture in Sudan is a most prominent  case in point. Studies show that the stigma of witchcraft was more often than not associated with poverty, hatred, jealousy etc. Despite the medieval mentality of the practitioners, a system of organized settlement of scores was put in place to prevent abuse of the system and to safeguard against unfounded allegations. The Zande people did not believe that witches or scorers can blame for all mysterious deaths or misfortunes that befall people. If for instance, a man accidentally barked against a tree in the bush and in the process got a serious wound and skin exposure, he would be expected to blame himself for not being careful enough to avoid the misfortune. However, should the wound fail to heal quickly enough and got soared, then the thought of witches and scorers comes to mind.

In our own situation it is not uncommon to find people complaining about lack of success in examinations due to probable witchcraft or sorcery. In some communities in the Gambia, extreme poverty and isolation can earn an old man or woman the undesirable stigma of witchcraft or sorcery. During my tour of duty as a public servant, which took me to almost every nook and corner in the provincial Gambia, I came across bizarre stories of conflict around issues of witchcraft. In some of those situations I was expected to understand and support lines of thinking as if those beliefs were universal or scientific. Some times they assumed that every misfortune supposed witchcraft, and every enmity suggested an element of witchcraft. But according to Pritchard Evans, „ when we blame our ills upon some one we call a witch, we proclaim our own innocence at their expense“.

Never has the a democratically elected leader of a sovereign nation taken such an unlawful and uninformed stance against the belief. If anger at the death of his immortal aunt is what has spurred this controversy, warranting the humiliation of a whole nation, I wonder what would become of our country should Asombe Bojang, the President’s mother die from severe diabetics any time soon. Let’s wait and see. Jammeh is quoted as saying that if need be does no care to sacrifice 99% of the Gambian population and go to sleep. He is also quoted as saying that one is either a witch or a doctor. Certain. Since Jammeh is neither a witch doctor nor a doctor, he must be a witch himself; that’s why is accustomed to the celestial world of demons, and the nocturnal cries of witches.

This is the danger of having an unenlightened mind rule a nation. To imagine that a young generation leader would harbor such crude believes in the 21st century could be quite a difficult one. Recent developments in the Gambia have brought us nothing but shame. This bizarre situation is not an isolated incident – we are reeking from the HIV Aids cure debacle that this same President has subjected us to. On which planet is this President living? A few years ago, he had claimed to have found a cure for a worldwide epidemic of HIV  and yet declined to share the secret with the world. But who does Jammeh think he is fooling? I wonder what has now become of this cruel hoax  that works only on Thursdays (the day the coincided with 22 July 1994). Unless Jammeh is prepared to come out of his cocoon of ignorance and prosaic postures of exaggerated manhood, he will not only eventually destroy himself  but our peaceful country as well.

As for Imam Fatty and his groups of self-righteous bigots, the time has come to put them under the microscope for authenticity test. What we cannot and must not put up with any longer, is this balderdash from people who are expected to remain moral standard bearers of our people regardless of the political temperature in the country.

Meanwhile the witch hunt stories continue amidst reports of as many as 40 deaths due to poisonous concoctions. President Jammeh can not claim to love this country more than he loved his aunt, for whose sake he is prepared to set the country ablaze. One thing is clear though – Jammeh has now earned himself a place on the dark side of Gambian history. If he is of sound mind, he must come to his senses by easing the tension in the country.  The people of the Gambia are interested in nothing other that peaceful co-existence and harmony. May God deliver us from a satanic dictator.

And now stories are rife that president Jammeh is calling Gambian men useless and womanizers. Does he realise the scale of the problem he is brewing for himself? Trying to please the country’s women doesn‘t warrant insulting their men. Whether he realises it or not women are inseparable from men, and any attempt to humiliate men will not sit well with the women fork. The logic is simple:  women are fathered by men and married to men. Likewise, men are begotten by women and tate women as spouses. No self-respecting women who would take comfort in seeing her husband the father of her children or indeed her father insulted and humiliated. So here is a man hiding behind the support of men in arms and insulting and humiliating  the very people who put him in power, men as old as his own dead father. What authority does our President have to determine how people choose to live their lives. The institution of polygamy is part of our culture and accepted by religion of Islam. But let’s see what our so-called religious and opinion leaders have to say about our mad President’s latest outburst, which was delivered before our rubber stamp National assembly.

For now though let me tell Jammeh just this aspect of himself  in case he thought he could hide from the public. If he is capable of these acts, then what moral authity does he bask in to lecture morality to Gambian men?

First of all President Jammeh, it is necessary to remind you how you met your wife, Zainab Somma. Was it not through the network of the underworld in which high class internationals patronize expensive hotels in places like the Gambia in search of wealthy clients? Certainly it was on one of these trips by Zainab that one of your pimps informed you about her. You will not argue that you’ve been dating the lady months before your marriage to her. You had been keeping each other company on occasions when Tuti was out of town. This is how your problems started with Tuti, which in short, eventually led to your divorce with her.

Mr President, are you not kidding when you accuse Gambian men of being womanizers? Come on buddy! You who have always wanted to  sleep with every female civil servant posted to the State House. While some had given in for fear of losing their jobs, others refused your advances and left the country. I am sad writing these  things, for it’s not my style, until you came in accusing Gambian men of laziness and womanizing. If it were not for the honour of those women that you have been and continue to harass to this day, I would have named names. And you dare open your stinking mouth before that good-for-nothing Parliament to deliver your shameful summons on morality. Can’t you assess yourself before you talk about issues that you are least qualified for? Do you remember how you treated the case of a GRTS anchor woman who was dying to visit her husband abroad and to take study leave with pay. She needed your assistance, but the way you treated her was disgusting and shameful. These issues will come up to haunt you later in your life.

Your eyeing of the daughter of one of the secretary Generals to your office cost the father his job when the daughter refused your advances. In fact,  there are documentary evidence supporting this particular case, for which you will most certainly be prosecuted as soon as you fall from grace.

Another interesting situation where you showed indecency was the your overseas trips when you lobbied prostitute into your hotel rooms while your staff looked way with disbelief. It is an open secret that most of dirty sex operations take place during your counter productive overseas trips where you shower your clients with the tax-payers meager resources in anticipation of another nice day. On those occasions you had reduced yourself  to a laughing stock of the highest order. With all this disgraceful conducts of yours, you dare call Gambian menwomernizers, as if you have not been touching married women some of whom had served with you in the Cabinet. By now it should be clear to the reader why your Cabinet attrition rate is so high, especially with female ministers. When the right moment comes, and those women who were brave and willing to protect their honor finally bring their stories to the public domain, your children will prefer to commit suicide in protest over your disgraceful conduct as womanizer-in-chief, a bully and traitor to your country. Some day certainly all these low life of your will come out in the open. As for the unprincipled ones who decided to mortgage their souls by throwing in the towel it is what they are worth. Some of them now suffer broken relations and shattered families. Jammeh, you have broken families by your abominable and promiscuous life style and yet still audacious to accuse Gambian men of womanizing. How dare you! Despite your apparent foolishness, it is impossible to ignore you for obvious reasons. May be you are right about one thing – Gambian men have not yet mustered the courage to cut off your tail. Make no mistakes, you are emboldening them each passing day that makes them determined to get rid of you at the earliest opportunity. A fool will always end up hanging himself when given a long rope.

Now to the constitutionality of your pronouncements.  Are you implying President  Jammeh, that the constitution does not matter to you any longer? If the answer is yes, I would not be surprised; if a no, which is the likely answer, knowing you, why would you assume that you can decide who marries who and when, and what would you do with the properties of polygamous men? Would that your threat, if executed, be lawful? These issues need to openly discussed and but before the people for their verdict. It is no longer a matter of speculation that you are subjecting the Gambian people to a state of lawlessness, the consequences of which can only be devastating. Your bullying attitudes are no longer amusing, and very soon you will find out that we take your threats very seriously. Gambians are a sovereign people and as such deserve the right determine their own destiny.

Now that you have been declared insane, your troubles are about to commence. Remember that the very people who are in charge of your security are themselves directly hurt by this witch hunt nonsense. Soon you will be led away in hand cuffs to be placed in the cage where you belong, and there will be no tears. The earlier a poisonous serpent like you is flushed out of the humanity, the better for the world. Stand by.

A voice in the struggle
