Dear Hon. Speaker,
PETITION FOR YAHYA JAMMEHS ARREST WARRANT
I wish to bring your attention to the brutality the Gambian People are facing under the regime of Dictator Yahya Jammeh. Honourable Speaker, I know that the UK Government is fully aware that since July 1994, Gambians have been subjected to murder, torture, and humiliation on daily basis since the overthrow of a democratically elected government by a military junta.
Britain and Gambia has long historical ties and fought side by side in the Far East against fascism and dictatorship. In this modern generation what should have been a thing of the past is now prevalent in the Gambia and the Gambian people need your government’s help in restoring democracy in the Gambia. The Gambia is held by her throat with intention of suffocating her to death by Dictator Jammeh. The human right abuse in the Gambia is unbearable and Gambians need external intervention to rescue them form brutality and dictatorship.
The assistant we are seeking from the British Government is not through military intervention. We are seeking for a joint impeachment of this criminal and insane Yahya Jammeh to be force out of office and dragged to International Criminal Court of justice for crimes against humanity.
I wish to plead to the British parliament on the behalf of The Gambia community to seek for an arrest warrants from the International Criminal Court of Justice in The Hague. For the following peoples. The head of the Criminal regime of the Gambia, Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, Edward Singhateh former secretary of state for defence, now resident in UK. Sanna B. Sabally former vice president of the Gambia, now resident in Dakar, Senegal. Yankuba Touray former minister fisheries recently secured five UK visa. Ebrima Solo Bojang and officer in The Gambia military force The Executor of the witchcraft in saga. Former Army commander of The Gambia armed forces Babur Jatta. Former Army commander of the Gambia armed forces Lang Tombong Tamba.
I would like to remind the British parliament that Gambia is part and parcel of the commonwealth and our plight should not be ignore in this crucial moment of our history. I have no doubt that The British Government are in a position to end the wave of brutality in the Gambia and it is your moral duty to act now.
Dictator Jammeh is responsible for the murder of so many innocent lives, examples are the ex- finance Minister Ousman koro Cessay, Deyda Hydra, and the disappearance of Chief Ibrahim Manneh and continues arrest and harassment on journalists. And many Gambian nationals. This is just to name few of the hundreds that have disappeared in the Gambia. Poor and elderly Gambians where forced from their sleep and paraded in their own neighbourhood in a broad day light and being accused of witchcraft, and were forced to drink poison which resulted to the death of many innocent Gambians. Mr speaker put your self in our shoes and condemned human degradation.
This barbaric act should not be tolerated and those responsible should be brought to the book and face the consequences of the due process of the law. Subjecting ordinary citizens to drink poison against their will is a gross violation of their fundamental human right and contravention of the Geneva Convention.
Britain is a nation, well known for providing sanctuary to people seeking for safety and a decent life style and it is the custodian of social justice and the bed rock of stability across the globe.
Honourable Speaker, any delay in rescuing the Gambians form Dictator Jammeh’s regime will have a dire consequences on the human race and we anticipate and looking forward to your fullest cooperation in the restoration of democracy in the Gambia.
Long live the Gambia!!! Long live Gambia Matters Party!!! And God Bless Britain!!!
