Horomsi: Yankuba Touray Detained, As
He Tries To Abscond From Gambia!!!
NIA IMPOUNDED TOURAY’S PASSPORT!!!
Horomsi: Our good friend Yankuba Touray is still determined to leave the country. We heard that he was apprehended at the Banjul sea port recently, while trying to abscond from the jurisdiction of The Gambia. Navy officials saw him when he tried to charter a late night canoe in Banjul. Poor Yankuba was arrested, and subjected to merciless beatings by his captives.
A team of NIA officials later showed up at the scene, where he was handcuffed and taken for questioning. At the NIA, Yanks was asked to surrender his Gambian passport, which contained a United Kingdom visa. He was held for hours before he was released on bail.
The President has assigned a special unit of the NIA to mount a close surveillance on Ajaratou Touray. There is a travel ban imposed on him from the state house, even though no charges had been proffered against him.
It is a bad year for brother Yanks. We heard that he also divorced his second wife Adams. Perhaps, the T road German boy’s “AKA” is hunting him. You do not snatch people’s wives and get away with it. The poor boy spent all his “hustle” money on Adams, only for Yanks to snatch her from him. That marriage between Yanks, and Adams is history.
Waa Juwara Is The Man
Since his appointment , our good friend, and brother Waa Juwara has been inaccessible. Each time we tried him on the phone, the line is either busy, or switched off. Well, we were lucky to get hold of the Niamina Mbarodi last week.
Waa was told by Pa Nderry that how comes that he Waa can abandon his old friend, and brother Pa Mbai, because of an APRC appointment. Juwara retorted “ Pa, I cannot abandon you. You are my brother. Matter of fact, I am in Niamina as we speak. The old man is fine. I met him. Everyone is doing fine here. You are the one who abandoned me. I am still the same Juwara. My relationship with you has nothing to do with the APRC,” he said.
Very assuring statement coming from Waa. Mr. M’Bai also assured Waa that he respects his right to association with any political party of his choice, and accordingly congratulated him for his new position. Mr. M’Bai also informed him that he still holds him with high esteem, and should put national interest ahead of personal interest.
Waa promises to grant us interview in the coming weeks. He was too preoccupied with official functions. He thanked President Jammeh for giving him the opportunity to serve his country.
Happy Birthday Ousainou Darboe
The UDP leader recently celebrated his birthday. We wish him many more to come. We hope before his next birthday, he will be at the state house to replace Jammeh. Gambians should consider voting him in office. I think he has a lot to offer to this country.
There is this talk that Jammeh will not witness the next elections. If this materializes, then there is no candidate more qualified than Darboe. He has the largest following among the opposition parties.
In the absence of Jammeh, there is no APRC. FJC, Yanks, Edu, and Baba Jobe are no longer in active politics. I know sister Fatou would revive her Father’s party, to run against the opposition. She would hate to be associated with the APRC.
The GMC party, The Gambia Matters Party, NADD, and Uncle Mathew’s Movement will also surface during the period of the elections. I hope these guys are laying the groundwork for the coming polls. We expect you to rally behind Darboe for the sake of national unity.
The APRC might be headed by Gomez. Perhaps, sister FJC will form a merger with Gomez to tackle the opposition. There shouldn’t be any recrimination. We can do it without Jammeh.
The military should stay in the barracks. Do not follow Jammeh’s foot step. Politics is for the politician. The army should defend, and protect its citizens. Good day Gambia.
