Wanted List Is Authentic, And Reliable- Assert Editors

The  Management of the Freedom Newspaper wishes to inform its readership that the list of the WANTED Gambians recently published by this medium is authentic, and therefore, stood by  its story. The communication came from a reliable source, and we have no doubt in our mind that the people mentioned therein are wanted by the Jammeh administration. We are not in the business of publishing scam, and dismisses any assertion to that effect.

It is our fervent belief that all Gambians deserved asylum, irrespective of one’s trade, tribe, gender, or political affiliation-given the fact that tyranny, and fear continued to dominate the minds of oppressed Gambians.  We wish good luck to all present, and would be Gambian asylum seekers . 

Anyone aggrieved by the said publication is free to take us to court, as we have no regrets for publishing a material from a proper custody. The onus lies on The Gambian Government to clear its image, as the accusations contained in the said list affects them.  

The Freedom Newspaper Management also want to make it abundantly clear that it has nothing to gain by publishing such a statement, as we are all legal subjects of the US.

Yahya Jammeh created the conditions for Gambians to seek asylum.  All asylum cases emanating from The Gambia are genuine as far as we are concerned. Gambians have been reduced to domestic slaves, and deserved to be given protection by the West.

There is nothing like fake WANTED list. The said list is authentic, and reliable. We encouraged local sources on the ground to continue to supply us with such hard documents containing the Logo of The Gambian Government.  We would be more than glad to accommodate such releases.

On a final note, we want to assure our readership that we shall continue to perform our required journalistic roles without fair, favor, or prejudice. We are also calling on Western countries to grant asylum to all current Gambian asylum seekers.  All Gambians deserved asylum.
