Yahya Jammeh’s “Dirty” Business Deals With Redcoat, And MJ Financial
Services Exposed!!!
…Disturbing Revelations About Jammeh New Corruption Web!!
Gambia’s ailing President has transformed The Gambia into his personal property. His involvement in commercial activities is no secret to the ordinary man in Banjul. What is most disheartening is that Jammeh is using private citizens as fronts to pursue his “ GET RICH, OR DIE,” hustle slogan. Our exposure of Jammeh’s corruption web would today center on two private entities in our dear motherland. MJ Financial Services, and Redcoat International are two separate entities. Jammeh has hands in the operations of the two companies, so we were told.
Who Owns MJ International?
Like the Daily Observer, Amadou Samba is the proclaimed owner, but in reality Yahya Jammeh owns the company. He uses Amadou to purchase the paper, which is today called the APRC mouthpiece newspaper.
MJ Financial services was formed few years ago by Alhagie Morr Jobe. The company’s offices is situated in Williams street in Banjul. Yahya Jammeh moved in shortly after the conviction of Baba Jobe to annex his much talked about Money Shop with MJ International.
Jammeh is a criminal who should be indicted. He is using MJ to launder money. It has been gathered that MJ has taken over the private money exchange business. Local money changers-mainly from Guinea have been sent out of business thanks to MJ.
We are not doubting that Morr Jobe is the owner, but the truth be told Yahya Jammeh is a majority shareholder of the said company. MJ Financial services had offices in almost every hotel in the Tourism Development Area. Jammeh is using the company to pursue his money laundering scheme.
Here is a breakdown of MJ outlets in the country:

The erstwhile Finance Minister Balla Gaye deputized the President during the opening of some of the MJ offices. We received irrefutable evidence linking Yahya Jammeh to the said company. Mr. Jobe is free to prove us wrong if he feels that what is reported here is erroneous.
Redcoat International
Redcoat International is a leading freight company. It has been operating in The Gambia since Sir Dawda’s era. The company is involved in shipping, and handling.
Reports have it that Yahya Jammeh is using Redcoat for his dubious business activities in the sub-region. It is alleged that Redcoat is being exempted from paying taxes, thanks to the favors the company extends to Jammeh. We gathered that Jammeh is being given free shipment for the equipment he orders from overseas. He has representative in Washington, and London who handled his business transactions for him. We shall get into this later.
The allegations are that Redcoat is being exempted from paying taxes. The Jammeh Government is using the company for free shipment purposes. That, all state house shipments are carried out by Redcoat.
This paper also gathered that some of the Redcoat cargos are never subjected to routine inspection by local customs agents. All shipments addressed to the state house are given free pass. No one dares inspect the said cargos.
President Jammeh will be shocked today by such revelations. We want to remind him that we are trailing his corrupt activities. Our goal is to document such stories for any future Government that is to replace Jammeh.
We tried to reach the Redcoat local staff in Banjul for comments, without success. We also tried to reach the MJ Financial Services, but we were told that the supposed proprietor Mr. Jobe was busy. We shall keep you posted with developments.
