Jammeh Dismisses 29 NIA Agents

As Another New Batch Of Green Boys Returned From Libya On Military Training

Top Security Chief Warns About Secret Killings In Months Ahead!!!

Gambia’s President has dismissed 29 NIA field agents with immediate effect, according to informed sources reaching the Freedom Newspaper. Our source said the sacked officers received their letters of termination from the office of the President, which is overseeing the activities of Africa’s most feared spy Agency.

As the NIA officers were shown  the exit door, a group of pro-government militia group called the “GREEN BOYS.” have just returned from Libya on a military training, said our sources. The Green Boys, majority whom came from the Jolla ethnic group, received domestic terrorism training, espionage, and counter intelligence activities.

The President said our sources,  has created his own civilian armed forces, with the sole aimed of targeting political opponents in the coming elections slated for next year. The Green Boys, have received training on secret kidnappings, murders, and firebombing of perceived Government opponents.

The move to train the Ruling Party Youth on domestic terrorism,  followed the refusal of the army headed by the erstwhile Army Chief General Tamba to execute high profile murders on behalf of the President against certain unnamed political figures, including members of the private media.

The Green Boys, have been trained to abduct, and kill Gambians, with dissenting political views against the system. They report directly to the President, and are not obliged to seek police, or NIA clearance to execute such Presidential orders, said our source.

The return of the new badge of the  trained pro-government militia group from the Islamic Republic Libya is likely to witness a mysterious criminal activities in days to come in the country, warns a top intelligence official. The official said the Green Boys, operate outside the confines of the law, and would execute whatever orders given to them by the President.

Meantime, the NIA is recruiting some Jolla boys to replace the sacked officials, said our sources. None of the people recruited can barely write a simple letter.

                   Death of NIA Bamba Manneh

Ebrima Manneh, known as Bamba Manneh was the lead investigator assigned to the case of the murdered Gambian journalist Deyda Hydara. Mr. Manneh was said to have been poisoned by agents of the President. He died in 2008, a day before he was asked to report to the agency.

Like Manneh, some of his colleagues, such as Samba Ceesay, and Ebrima Danso were dismissed in 2006 by the President. The named officers gathered vital details about the murder of Hydara.
