State Guard Commander Appears In
Court On Theft Charges!!!

Gibril Bojang, the ex State guard commander, who was earlier demoted to a private soldier and then sacked by Yaya Jammeh, was yesterday arraigned before a magistrates court in Banjul for theft, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. Bojang didn’t testify in public, but in closed doors and he was asked by the presiding magistrate whether he has a lawyer or he intends to represent himself and his response was that he intends to hire the services of an attorney.
The case was adjourned to a further date for continuation. Gibril Bojang was the state guard commander , who only spent eight days in that post and subsequently sacked. He is also said to be maternal uncle to the President Jammeh, sharing the same father with Assomby Bojang, the president's mother.
