EX Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay Cab Driver Reaches Out To Freedom
As Ritual Sacrifice Story Attracts National Attention
FJC Made A Phone Call To The US Appealing For Restraint
Following revelations that the erstwhile House Speaker Fatou
Jahumpa Ceesay hired a taxi to the Bijilo Beach, where she offered some spiritual sacrifice to the waters, in order to regain her post as the speaker of the National Assembly, the driver of the said taxi has contacted the Freedom Newspaper pleading with this paper’s editors for his personal information to be preserved. The cab driver, whose vehicle registration number plate, and name is currently in the possession of this paper, made a passionate appeal to the Freedom Newspaper for his vehicle information not to be released to the public, citing the possibilities of the NIA arresting him. “ It has been brought to my attention that your paper reported about my trip with the former Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay to the Bijilo Beach. It is true that I was hired to drop her to the Beach, but I have nothing to do with her spiritual sacrifice. Since the publication of the story, this lady has been rendered nervous, and confused. She confronted me over the issue, which I emphatically told her that it was news to me. I don’t know who must have informed you, but this is a true story. All I am asking for: is to do me a favor by not mentioning my name and vehicle information,” pleaded the cab driver.
According to the cab driver, he never knew that someone was watching them during the period in question. “ If I had known that this matter was going to end in the pages of the Freedom Newspaper, I would have declined the trip. If this woman is arrested, there is a possibility that she would implicate me. I was just a servant rendering a service to my customer,” he said.
Speaker Fatou Jahumpa Ceesay was reported to have made repeated attempts to locate the phone number of the Freedom Newspaper Editor to clarify the situation. Sources reaching us indicate that Fatou Jahumpa AKA FJC, had left a voicemail for a sister newspaper editor, lamenting about the story. FJC was quoted as saying that she wants the Freedom Newspaper to leave her alone.
Well, Fatou our doors are open to the public. If you feel that what we have reported is false, please take us to court. You may as well call our hotline: 919-872-5028 0r 919-749-63-19 to state your side of the story. We carried the story, and we stood by it. FJC must be very desperate to contact the said online editor. We have published worst things in the past, but she has never bothered to react.
Our sources indicate that FJC is aspiring to be Gambia’s first female President after the demise of President Jammeh, as all indications suggest that Jammeh is likely to be removed soon.
What is interesting thought, FJC’s ritual was done at the same time Jammeh did his. It appears the two are competing for the seat of power.
