Jammeh Cancels CHOGM Trip Meeting For Security Reasons-State House Sources Revealed!!!

Details are emerging regarding President Yahya Jammeh’s conspicuous absence at the CHOGM meeting slated to take place in Trinidad later this month. Reports have it that the President’s decision  not to attend the Summit was due to security related issues. Mr. Jammeh is increasingly worried about the loyalty of the country’s military. He fears being toppled if he ventures into overseas trips, said a close aide to the President.

Mr. Jammeh has informed the relevant authorities presiding over the CHOGM meeting about his intentions of not attending the Summit. He failed to advance any reason for his move, but sources close to corridors of power in Banjul hinted that the President’s decision was as a result of fear.

“ He is aware of the implications of travelling during this time. He has taken the wise move by not attending the Summit. All indications suggest that he was going to be toppled. He is going to miss many more sub-regional conferences to come. All future Presidential travels has been suspended until further notices,” said an official.

Sources close to the military said the President is just paranoid. They argue that with, or without travelling, Jammeh’s removal was imminent. They said the boys are waiting for the right time to strike.

“ If he thinks that he can imprison himself by refusing to attend the said meeting, or travel outside the country, a rude awakening waits him. I bet he cannot stop the change that is about to hit this country. Take it from me: Jammeh ‘s era is history. Now his own tribe men in the military have realize that he is a stumbling block to peace, and development,” said a military source.
