Michael Scales Responds To Mai Fatty’s Letter

Dear Mr Fatty,

This is a difficult letter to write. May I first of all thank you on behalf of my dear wife and myself for your thanks and praise. This is entirely undeserved but much appreciated nonetheless.

The letter from The Baroness Kinnock, has much personal meaning, accompanied by a sense of personal, professional satisfaction for me.

If you consider that I am from poor parents who were avid supporters of The British Labour Party all their lives..... my only regret, is that my Father is not alive to witness that Glynis Kinnock mentions my name seven times, in her well considered letter.

Mrs. Kinnock is the wife of Neil Kinnock, the former leader of The British Labour Party. I would agree with many who say That Mr Kinnock was probably the best Prime Minister that Britain, never had. The Baroness Kinnock is from  Wales, the land of Bassy, Jones and Bevan. It is her plight to forever live under the shadow of her husband. A position she carries with great dignity. However African's should never underestimate the standing of Mrs Kinnock. She is in her own right a very reliable and gifted politician, who's record on Human Rights and Social justice is unequalled.

You must also try to understand that My local Member of Parliament  Mr.Farron, is a Social Democrat.{Britains 3rd Party} Whilst Political parties may argue and differ, the natural and combined spirit towards the overall good of the British people, always unites in times of great difficulty.

I note with great understanding your final paragraph, that states the Gambians can only to be responsible for their own self determination. These are very wise words. To stand by The Freedom Newspaper through thick and thin is a small contribution towards that cause, from myself who really does love Gambian's to the core of my bones.

I am not against your President, neither am I against all those in his government who always treated me with the utmost respect.

I am for peace and harmony and shared aspirations that give equal opportunity, to all those who would feel neglected or in need of a considerate and genuine friend. I will never stand in front of Gambians , but I will always be by your side.

Rest assured that I am humbled by your attention. May God bless you and all Gambian's.

  Michael..U.K.
