Lt. MA Bah To Investigate General Tamba’s Financial Impropriety Case- State House Sources said

Ex army lieutenant M A Bah, who was recently granted Presidential pardon has been hired to probe the financial impropriety case leveled against General Lang Tombong Tamba, sources here said. MA Bah was seen at the NIA head quarters yesterday briefly  before he proceeded to GAF command center, where he and the new CDS Major General Massaneh Kinteh had a lengthy discussion. It is not clear if MA Bah has been reinstated into the military, but what is evident though, his new job assignment is to help account for the missing funds allegedly embezzled by Tamba, and co.

Lt. Bah, and Tamba are strange bed fellows. He harbored grudges against Tamba, following reports that he was implicated by the sacked General in the March 2006 coup. The President is playing his cards right by rehiring Bah, who would no doubt execute any dirty job for him.

The Intelligence community here are doubting Jammeh’s state of mind, as many believe that he might be insane.  They cite the reinstatement of Lt. Bah as a clear indication that he Jammeh is out to destroy people who helped him to foil the March coup.  Bah was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment.

Intelligence sources said they doubt the impartiality of Bah’s investigations-given the fact that he and Tamba are not in good terms. Although, preliminary investigations tend to absolve Tamba from any blame. There was no evidence of financial impropriety established against Tamba, sources said.

In another development, this paper has been reliably informed about the torture of the reinstated army chief Yankuba Drammeh. Sources said Drammeh was mercilessly tortured by soldiers during his recent arrest. His reinstatement would no doubt create panic amongst his torturers, sources said.
