As Jammeh Appoints Buba Sanyang As The New Immigration DG

The Director General of Gambia’s Immigration Department has been dismissed with immediate effect, the Freedom Newspaper can reveal. “I am writing you to inform you that the Director General of The Gambia Immigration Department has been dismissed from office.  He was dismissed yesterday after 37 years of service.  This man, Sakho Drammeh has worked for the Immigration Department all his life,”said a highly placed source in the heart of the Jammeh administration.

 According to our well trusted source, Mr. Sakho Drammeh has  lost all his retirement benefits, following his unceremonious dismissal from the service.

“Now, his dismissal means that he loses all his pension and benefits.  He was dismissed without any reason being provided to him or to the Public Service Commission by President Yaya Jammeh,” our source added.

The mentally challenged Gambian leader has been violating the constitution with impunity. He constantly sack soldiers, and members of the public service without reason. He also overruled court decisions by reinstating convicted felons linked to coup plots.

“It is very sad that the President does not follow the constitutional provisions for dismissals.  Sakho is being replaced by his Deputy Buba Sanyang.  The Gambia has lost today a very dedicated and pious man.  I think our President is destabilizing the entire civil service with his unwarranted and unexplained dismissals,” said my source in Banjul.

The new Immigration Director General Buba Sanyang has been accused in the past of facilitating the deportation of Gambian Immigrants overseas. He is also said to be corrupt, and incompetent. He has long been groomed for the job.
