Jalambang Alkalo Arrested
Chief Bojang, Janneh Others Called for Questioning

The Alkalo of Jalambang Village Kombo Central District Alhagie Njobba Bah was Wednesday arrested by the personnel of NIA in connection with a plot of land belonging to President Jammeh he sold to the people, this paper can reveal.
According to our sources, the said plots were given to The Gambian Leader by the Santang-Juba clan of Jamburr for his farming activities and it is situated between Jalambang and Jamburr village. Sources further noted that the old man has been engaged in dubious land dealing on many occasions in his village.
In a related development, the Chiefs of Kombo Central and Kombo South were also invited by the NIA in connection with the said plot of land on Friday DECEMBER 11TH 2009, but were later released pending the investigation including Ba-jerreh Demba, the younger brother to the Alkalo of Siffoe village in Kombo South with other elders from Kombo South, while Alkalo Bah was granted bail but was asked to report on a daily basis.
