Jammeh's mother discharged
Assombi Bojang, the mother of President Yahya Jammeh of The Gambia, has been discharged from the Royal Victoria Teaching Hospital (RVTH) after having been admitted there for at least a week. The president's mother collapsed from a strange sickness on Tuesday 8th May, and was immediately rushed to the hospital. She was reportedly in coma for few days but recovered just when plans were underway to fly her out of The Gambia for better medical attention.

Jammeh's mother discharged-coup suspect Captain Buja Darboe, appeared in court with signs of torture
A source of the Freedom Newspaper who is a close relative of the President's mother, visited her on Sunday and said that she (Assombi) is still in a bad shape. She however expressed hope that things may be better. Assombi Bojang is back at her new Kotu villa, a former residence of disgraced majority leader, Baba Jobe. Captain Bunja Darboe's arm broken, swollen face
Accused person Number 1, in the so-called treason case of the March 21 attempted coup, Captain Bunja Darboe, last Wednesday appeared before the High Court presided over by Justice Mrs. SM Monageng, both a broken arm (which was moulded with white material and hanged over his neck) and a seriously swollen face.
Drama unfolded when the 16 of the accused persons arrived in court when hundreds of people started to cry when they saw the state in which Bunja was. It is his left arm, with which he writes, that is broken. Bunja is said to be hated by the Chiakas as he is seen as an intellectual, and therefore, want to eliminate him. More on this soon.
