What is the NIA doing in Cuba?
What is the NIA doing in Cuba?

From A Gambian Security Officer
Dear Editor,
Since Jammeh came to power, he had openly expressed his desire to work closely with Cuba at any cost including doing so at the detriment of Gambians. Well it is true that Gambia is an independent state that with rights to deal with any country as long as that is in the interest of our nation. But as a security officer in the Gambia, I am aware that many of these NIA men and women including people I know very well are now in Cuba. They include the notorious killer and torturer called Demba Cessay and another disguised murderer called Bakary Jatta.

We must investigate what these men are doing in Cuba as they are not ‘doctors’ or ‘agriculturalists’ - the same old excuses. This is very alarming as my friends in the NIA indicated that the NIA are in Cuba to train how to further maltreat opponents of the regime including opposition leaders in the country. I am told that more people will disappear in the coming election as Jammeh careless about what others are saying.

More unfortunately, Jammeh been the dictator he is, decided to use such friendship with Cuba and others in a sinister and negative manner putting the Gambia in a very confused state. Cuba is not even aware of such evil intention as Jammeh lied that Senegal is about to destabilize his corrupt regime for supporting MFDC rebels.

Many are even asking if Jammeh cares about the poor people of Gambia and keep making money and name for himself while Gambians continues to suffer. Now this dictator is tapping phone calls and monitoring emails of innocent Gambians.

Sadly the infighting within the Gambians is also scary due to poverty and Jammeh will keep separating us as long as we engaged in such attitude. The press is very helpful and I do hope it continues to expose the murderous regime headed by Jammeh.

This regime called the APRC is entrenched by our military with some of them cowardly hiding the West and criticizing Jammeh from their bedrooms. General Tamba, Abdoulie Kujabi, Fatoumatta Jahumpha Ceesay and other monsters deserve what they get in helping Jammeh enslave us. They helped Jammeh murdered all our good soldiers and intelligent people, and keep sacking our professionals for political reasons and vendetta.

There is no accountability and monies are spent regardless with only one man called Jammeh doing what he likes against 1.3 million.  I saw in the military one senior officer giving out £2000 to her mistress for pocket money to travel abroad and I was aghast thinking of the poor farmers whose ground-nuts are scattering in various seccos unpaid by the regime.

This is a big shame and even our West African colleagues in the security services are questioning our ability as soldiers. Thus we in the security are even more shock seeing editorials supporting such men behind bars who brutalized our people and economy.

Some are in the West pretending to be nice people but infact should be in jail by now. Officials here are sending their girl friends and children broad and keep telling our brother and sisters to stay home and ‘work’ . What a funny joke! Just investigate whether their families are in the country or not? The result will tell you a different story. Our main aim now is how to overthrow this regime democratically and plan how to take these cruel men and women to face trial in the international courts rather than talking APRC nonsense.

As editors, you all know and are aware that no one must not sympathies with the devil. If we are scared, then scared will eat us up! Thank you for your time.

From A Gambian Security Officer

Editors note: Thanks for bringing this important piece of information to our attention. Few months ago, our Editor Pa Nderry M’Bai received numerous letters and phone calls from a Gambian claiming to be a student in Venezuela asking us to help him with an invitation letter to visit the US. We refused for the simple fact that we do not trust such individual(s) because he could be an NIA agent posing as a student. We considering publishing the said communications we received from the posing student. Thanks for giving us a heads up.
