Four Foreign Diplomats Accredited
To Gambia

Four foreign diplomats Monday presented their letters of credence to The Gambian President Yahya Jammeh at the State House in Banjul. The four Senior Foreign Diplomats accredited to The Gambia were: Megesha Roa Pathasarathi IndianAmbassador, Khalid Muhammad Sudan, Muhammad Abdul Muteem Khan Pakistan and Sagogwane Sam of South Africa.
Speaking to reporters shortly after their meeting with The Gambian leader, the Ambassadors reaffirmed their commitment to promoting cordial bilateral ties between The Gambia and their respective countries.
The promotion of sub-regional trade, agriculture, Environmental protection, Education, Health, Technology, Infrastructural Development were among the key important areas—the diplomats stressed the need for intergovernmental corporation.
The diplomats also expressed the need to promote peace and security on the continent. They hailed President Jammeh’s efforts in helping to restore peace in war ravaged nations in the sub-region.
The foreign diplomats also thanked the Gambian leader for his visionary leadership and his love for peace and stability. They described Mr. Jammeh as a true panafricanist, who is committed to promoting peace in the region.
The envoys were escorted by Gambia’s foreign ministry officials to the State House in Banjul, where they all promised to work closely with the host country.
