Jammeh With The Obamas- Is This Another Hoax???

When I first looked at this image portraying the United States President Barrack Obama, with his wife Michelle Obama, and our mentally challenged President Yahya Jammeh, I said to myself wait a minute: Is this  another hoax? Jammeh posing with the Obamas at  the White House ? How come the Daily Observer Newspaper—the Government mouthpiece newspaper in The Gambia failed to serialize such an important image in their medium? Or was this the work of Jammeh’s Internet  gurus? I just don’t get it!  I think there is more to this portrait

The picture caught my eye for two reasons: It reminds me about Jammeh’s  image fever. Mr. Jammeh is obsessed with posing with celebrities and important leaders in the world. He would do whatever it takes to fake images just to suit his personal taste for cheap publicity.

Few years ago, when former President George Bush was on a visit to Africa, Jammeh travelled to Senegal to meet with Bush. The State controlled Gambia Television producers edited the TV footages—leaving one to believe that Mr. Jammeh was standing next to Bush, but in reality he was way far from the visiting US President. One could also see Jammeh struggling to get close  to Bush.

Secondly, it is a known fact that President Jammeh is an isolated leader. All decent leaders in the world would rather meet with Freedom’s Pa Nderry M’Bai  than to grant an audience to such a novice and mentally unstable leader. Jammeh lacks skills to clearly express himself. He might need an interpreter to facilitate his audience with President Obama.

Frankly speaking, I nearly passed out when I saw this captivating picture. I kept laughing.  I could not believe that the Jammeh Government would go all out to impersonate the Obama White House. I seriously questioned the authenticity  of this image portraying President Obama, his wife and Jammeh. I think this is another hoax—just like Jammeh’s fake aids cure claims.

Besides meeting President Obama on the corridors of the United Nations building in New York, Mr. Jammeh has never in his life time met Obama, and his family one and one. He has also never step his foot in the White House. 

I am calling on Gambians to please do Mr. Jammeh a favor by forwarding this piece to the White House so that President Obama would consider granting him an audience. You do not use internet programming software editing tools to fake an audience with the Obamas, which never took place. This is the highest form of propaganda on the side of Jammeh. 

For Jammeh to be received at the White House, he must change his style of governance. President Obama would not dine with dictators—who  undermines the basic liberties and freedoms of their people. Jammeh is a despot who believes in using his secret police to maim, kill and exile political opponents.

I  have been trying to get in touch with Obama’s Press Secretary Robert Gibbs to verify if the said image was indeed authentic, but it appears that  Gibbs has been busy trying to caricature Sarah Palain—the former Alaska Governor on his press briefings. Gibbs flashed his palm to the press corps  in which he wrote about his Valentine shopping. Gibbs please do me a favor by  verifying the authenticity of this image portraying  Gambia’s President with the Obamas.
