Are African American “Celebrities” Getting Bailout Money From
Gambia???
African Dictator Uses Dollar Diplomacy To Entice Celebrities?
The impoverished tiny West African nation of The Gambia is increasingly becoming a “ hot spot” for African American movie actors, designers, artists, and strippers, who visit this country for the sole purpose of getting money from our mentally challenged President Yahya Jammeh. Times are hard in the US, and elsewhere across the world—thanks to the Global recession. In order to secure economic bailout, these parading money seekers come here with all kind of cultural stories—just to entice the attention of our sick leader Yahya Jammeh.
Mr. Jammeh is obsessed with fame, and he would do whatever it takes to dish out millions of dollars to the visiting African American attention seekers to achieve his desired objective—that is to be featured on Hollywood, and also to one day have an audience with President Barrack Obama. Mr. Jammeh is desperately lobbying to meet President Obama, but the White House wouldn’t accord him audience due to his ailing rights records. Jammeh has already been declared a “dictator”, and Washington wouldn’t waste its time seeing such a totalitarian leader.
It is imperative to note that some of these African American visitors are claiming to be close to President Obama. They even had joint posed pictures with the US President just to win Jammeh’s confidence.
These are barely known celebrities in the United States with the exception of few, who are accorded with red carpet reception on arrival at the State House in Banjul—including a special TV, and radio primetime coverage.
Our good American friend artist Chaz Guest, stole the show last week in Banjul—with the mainstream media according him primetime coverage. Many even thought that he was Obama’s aide, or could even be a powerful lobbyist from Washington. Guest was all over the news, and he even went as far as suggesting for the renaming of James Island—where the late US slave Kunta Kinteh was detained.
Mr. Guest also presented a “horrible” portrait featuring our retarded President Yahya Jammeh—who is currently at war with his unstable mind. It is not clear as to how much money the President gave Mr. Guest, and the other visiting US celebrities, but what is evident though Jammeh is lavishly dishing out our impoverished taxpayers money—when the average Gambian cannot afford one decent meal a day.
We embrace cultural diversity, and national heritage preservation. But we expect our visiting African American brothers to reject any money from Jammeh, which does not come from proper channel. The millions Mr. Jammeh is dishing out belonged to our taxpayers.
We are not implying, or suggesting by any means that Mr. Guest received money from President Jammeh, but even if he does, he should consider the plight of our suffering Gambians and return the money. We expect Mr. Guest, and his colleagues to sponsor developmental projects in The Gambia, and not to come here as economic migrants. You owe it to the continent brothers!
It is about time for our African American brothers, and sisters to extend a lending hand to the continent, and not exploit it through the association with corrupt, and dictatorial leaders like Yahya Jammeh. That’s a no, no, Mr. Guest!
None of the African American celebrities, who met the President, had so far announced any form of investment earmarked for this country. They come here to party, enjoy VP treatment, and perhaps go home with Jammeh’s ill gotten wealth.
The President hosted a state banquet for Mr. Guest. We have not been told how Mr. Guest had access to the Jammeh State House. We do know for a fact that Diplomat Ebrima JT Kujabi, has been wooing African Americans to visit The Gambia. He invites all kinds of people in this country—without bothering to verify the individuals personal history. This is absurd!
The other day, our sister paper The Gambia Echo reported that our ignorant President Yahya Jammeh sent a condolence letter to President Obama paying tribute to the late Micheal Jackson. We spent the whole day laughing about such a national disgrace—because the late pop star was not a Federal employee to warrant global leaders to channel their condolence letters to the White House.
Mr. Jammeh’s political, and diplomatic deficiencies could largely be attributable to his lack of exposure and education. Mr. Jammeh takes thing on a face value—without bothering to double check, or authenticates its veracity. We bet he might have received prang callers in the past—posing as President Obama, and this fool would run his mouth like a maroon.
That said, we want to emphasize that we harbor no grudges against our African American brothers. We are against the exploitation of our ailing national coffers. The least we expect from our African American brothers is to help their brothers in need. Distance yourself from a monster—who is posing as Gambia’s Bill Gate, when in reality he is stealing from our taxpayers. Americans are honest, and straightforward, and we expect you to nurture such national values. No offence intended. We rest our case!
