Jammeh In Marital Troubles!!!

As Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh reached a divorce settlement with his Moroccan wife Zeinab Suma Jammeh—amidst hostile matrimonial relationship—in the wake of a secret “marital relationship” between Jammeh and the daughter of The Gambian Ambassador to Saudi Arabia OG Sallah, the parents of the Banjul girl have asked their daughter Alima Sallah to migrate to the United States of America, until such a time that Mr. Jammeh is able to peacefully settle his divorce nightmares, said a member of the Presidential Protocol team.
The move followed a martial row at the State House in Banjul between Jammeh, and the First Lady, as Zeinab Suma Jammeh strongly protested against Jammeh’s recent decision to “marry a second wife,” which contravenes the original marital vow that was agreed upon by both couple, when the marriage was reached in Morocco some years ago, the source told the Freedom Newspaper.
The First Lady has been missing in the public view for a while now—amidst strained relationship between her and Mr. Jammeh, said the Presidential aide. She has opts for divorce, but the President is buying time, as concerned religious leaders tried to mediate in this seemingly “hostile” matrimonial relationship. Zeinab Suma has been constantly crying—asking Mr. Jammeh to let her go, because she refused to share her husband with another woman.
Concerned by the situation, the parents of Alima Sallah, advised their daughter to leave Banjul, until the dust settles at Kanilai. They don’t want young Alima to be associated with such a “matrimonial drama,” which is seemingly tearing the State House apart.
After securing her US Visa, Alima Sallah, who now doubles as Gambia’s Second First Lady, boarded a flight in Banjul—heading to Philadelphia, where she landed, and later proceeded to Silver Spring Mary Land. She is staying with her aunty (her father’s sister). The aunty is called Grannie Sallah, who is married to one Mambureh, sources close to The Gambian Embassy in Washington DC said.
Alima Sallah is the daughter of Gambia’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia OG Sallah. She married to Jammeh recently in a low key affair. Alima’s relationship with Mr. Jammeh is costing the head of state his long years of marriage with the Moroccan First Lady.
What started as a “street gossip” turns out to be a reality. Mr. Jammeh himself broke the story to his wife Zeinaba Suma, when he ( Jammeh) openly confessed that he had decided to marry his Ambassador’s daughter—in the person of Alima Sallah. The First Lady was stunned by the President’s move. She then started having domestic problems with the head of state. The problem had aggravated to point that it is unmanageable, as both couple agreed to reach a divorce settlement.
The divorce settlement is attracting a huge controversy in Kanila, as child custody is becoming an issue. Both Mr. Jammeh, and Zeinab wanted to have custody of their two kids: Muhammed and Mariam Jammeh.
There is also property dispute between the two. The First Lady wants to have total control of Jammeh’s properties in Morocco, and Guinea, sources said. The matter has been referred to a property settlement tribunal.
The marriage between Jammeh and Zeinab Suma was reached in Morocco—a predominantly Muslim country, where Sharia Law is applied. Under Moroccan law, Mr. Jammeh is likely to pay child support to the First Lady, and would have all his properties forfeited.
