Tendaba Old GPMB, And Gunjur Among The Latest Cocaine Labs Uncovered By The Freedom Newspaper!
The Gambia is a cocaine infested nation. Cocaine is concealed in different parts of the country—notably near coastal villages. This information we are unveiling today is coming from highly trusted sources close to Jammeh’s State House. For now, we will name two sites where tons of cocaine are concealed in the Gambia. We are talking about billions of dollars of street value of cocaine hidden somewhere in the former British colony. How comes that Gambia’s anti narcotic officers are unable to trace the hidden cocaine? Why is the National Drug Enforcement Agency transferred to the President’s office? How can the NDEA investigate the President when it is answerable to the Head of State? How can Jammeh effectively supervise the NDEA when there is a conflict of interest here? Is Jammeh aware of the information circulating allegedly linking him with the arrested South American nationals currently going to court on cocaine trafficking? Who owns the hidden cocaine? We shall try to find answers for the aforementioned questions, as we proceed with this masterpiece revelations rattling Jammeh’s State House.
Bonto One Billion dollars Drug Seizure
When news hit the nation that over one billion dollars worth of cocaine was intercepted in the village of Bonto, the President rushes to announce about his Government’s zero tolerance against drugs. He supplied the National Drug Enforcement Agency (NDEA) with brand set of vehicles to help combat drug trafficking in the country. Many applauded Mr. Jammeh for his stance against the global menace which is ravaging Africa, and the civilized world.
The Bonto drug seizure led to the arrest of South American workers, who were allegedly brought to the country—following an invitation by the Government of the Gambia for Venezuelan investors to come invest in this impoverished nation called the “smiling coast” of West Africa. The Venezuelans responded without hesitation.
During the course of the investigations of the intercepted drugs, it was alleged that some of the arrested South American nationals were hired to process the cocaine lab situated in Bonto, and elsewhere across the country.
A truck bearing a purported Senegalese registration number was found on site. The registration number associated with the said truck according to investigators was a fake one. It was not a Senegalese vehicle. The traffickers used the truck to traffic cocaine from Guinea Bissau to The Gambia, while some of the cocaine trafficked are smuggled into this country by a jet.
The Bonto cocaine lab shared fence with Gambia's State controlled media Radio Gambia main transmitter. The transmitter relayed Radio Gambia's signals across the country. It's an important communication outlet.
It is also imperative to note that the equipment the workers used to unload the cocaine were painted in “yellow” and Gambians knows who uses such colors for his farming, and other domestic business in this country. One of the South American nationals with the first name Neno, and a handful of the other site workers absconded to neighboring Senegal when the anti narcotic officials moved in to effect their arrest. They are still believed to be at large.
Lamin Darboe "Babob" Tree Lodge
Lamin Darboe is a Gambian national believed to be residing abroad. He was alleged to have rented the "Babob" Lodge to the detained South American Nationals. A huge amount of cash, and arms were found with the accused persons when the property was raided. Mr. Darboe himself was invited for questioning. He spent sometimes at the NIA before he was released.
It is a known fact that President Jammeh’s name came up during the Essa Badjie drug trafficking case. Mr. Badjie was alleged to have been entrusted with overseeing Mr. Jammeh’s "business interest." The leakage of the Bonto drug lab upsets certain big men in Government allegedly associated with the organized drug syndicate.
It was gathered that the drug squad refuses to invite the United States Federal Bureau of Investigations (FBI) despite repeated calls for external help. In fact, the telephone printouts of one of the prime suspects Mr. Garci indicates that he (Garci) was allegedly talking to Benedict Jammeh, the DG of the NDEA prior to his arrest. And Ben Jammeh happens to be President Jammeh’s most trusted aide today. The cocaine bust case, is a complicated story. It is alleged that one of the reasons President Jammeh transferred the NDEA to the State House was to be privy to its daily activities. In another words, he Mr. Jammeh is trying to safeguard his "business interest." When we say “business interest” it might sound vague to some legal minds, but we challenge the President to explain what interest he has on the NDEA. Why supervising a law enforcement outfit, which is mandated by the constitution to investigate every citizen including President Jammeh himself? The hands of the NDEA had been tied since the President is meddling into its activities.
New Cocaine Site Uncovered In Tendaba GPMB
Today, we report with certainty that there is a cocaine lab situated in Tendaba old GPMB depot, alongside the coastal river. This site is among the numerous cocaine labs in the Gambia. The containers assembled in the outskirt of the old groundnut marketing board known as (GPMB) are filled with cocaine, sources familiar with the cocaine trade said.
There is a reason why the cocaine labs are situated along the river. One, it enables the South American jets that shuttles between Banjul, and their country of origin to safely unload the cocaine without being detected by Gambian law enforcement agencies, and local villagers. The jets land on site during odd hours.
The information we received suggest that the containers grounded at Tendaba are filled with cocaine. Unless, the traffickers moved the cocaine to another site—until the arrest of the Bonto 12 cocaine traffickers the drugs were hidden there.
Another Cocaine Lab In Gunjur
Gunjur is another cocaine site in the Gambia. Reports reaching this medium indicates that there is a cocaine lab out there, in which South American drug lords deposit the trafficked drugs.
Again, it is the duty of the NDEA to investigate and bring the perpetrators to book. No one is smearing the name of the Gambia. President Jammeh’s conduct in his so called war against drug trafficking raises doubts in the minds of Gambians, and friends of the Gambia. Why is the State Guards assigned to guard the impounded drugs from the Bonto warehouse? What's Jammeh up to ? The NDEA should pursue the “big fish” and stop being stooges for the dictator.
