Gambia: The Tragedy of the "AIDS CURE"

The Tragedy of the "AIDS CURE"

By A State House Insider

Banjul, The Gambia—Pa, Of all the crimes perpetrated against The Gambian people, to so-called AIDS Cure by the Kanilai Monster is the most tragic and consequential.

As we stand today, the MRC has closed its HIV/AIDS clinic because of fear of offending the monster. People with the disease are now left with the option of either seeking Jammeh's fake cure or going to one of the under-equipped government clinics.

Medical practitioners on the other hand are scared to say that there is no cure for HIV/AIDS.  The results has been that there has been very high rates of HIV prevalence in the Fonis.

Clinics in Bwiam and SIbanor are informally reporting HIV prevalence rates approaching 20%.  The tragedy is that there is widespread belief amongst the Jolas of the Foni that Jammeh does indeed have a cure for the disease.  As a result, these people are now practicing unsafe sex during their cultural gatherings such as the Futampaf.

Jammeh on the other hand does not seem to have much confidence in his own cure.  For his high blood pressure, he sees a doctor in France.  His own mother is taken to Belgium whenever she is ill from her high blood pressure and diabetes diseases.

One HIV expert I spoke to told me that he thinks the general prevalence rate for HIV in The Gambia will approach 40% within the next 5 years unless something is dramatic immediately about it.

The sad fact however is that none of our so-called elders including the Imams dare point out that Jammeh is lying about having a cure for HIV/AIDS.  It is a classic case of the Emperor Has No Clothes as our dear motherland continues to suffer at the hands of a demented megalomaniac.
