Following weeks of speculations and counter speculations, details are gradually emerging regarding President Yahya Jammeh’s new Banjul wife. Amina Cole, a former insurance agent with the Great Alliance Insurance company has been named as “Jammeh's second wife.” State House sources told the Freedom Newspaper that the Lassowarf lady off late had been seeing the Gambian leader. “The President has been dating Amina Cole lately. He used to spent long hours outside with the Banjul Aku Hawssa Muslim.” said our source.


Jammeh got a new Banjul wife?
It would be recalled that First Lady Zeinab Suma Jammeh recently experiences strained matrimonial life with her husband. This paper was informed by the State House sources that the first lady abruptly left the State House for Morocco, following Jammeh’s unwillingness to grant her divorce. The First lady, the Freedom Newspaper gathered was outraged following reports she received that her husband was on the verge of marrying a Banjul woman.
The First lady recently visited her home country Morocco ,under the escort of the Vice President Isatou Njie Saidy and other protocol officers. Each time the First lady “faye” or left the State House in protest, the likes of Amadou Samba helped to bring her back. It is reported that huge amount of money is usually spent to facilitate her return. Authorities in Banjul are not keen at discussing Jammeh’s new wife, but what is clear though is that the Kanilai son is a frequent visitor at Lassowarf. Local neighbours confirmed spotting him in the area late at night.
Jammeh’s inability to get a baby for the past couple of four years, was also cited as one of the reasons for the strained relationship that existed between him and the First lady. The First lady said an aide has lamented over the above mentioned shortcomings on the side of Jammeh.
This paper gathered that the President is down playing his recent affair with Amina Cole, which is bound to come in the limelight once the said proposed marriage is finalized by elders.
