AU Security-Inside The Gambia lope holes.

It is disheartening to see good riders running around town without good horses. Inside The Gambia mediocres have been asked to be our society's surgeons, this is a big risk to say the least. None of us here hates seeing The Gambia's good image on world televisions but we do also have a responsibility of exposing the future side effects before the snow flakes of freezing regrets start falling along our path as a nation. President Jammeh is a sad being these days. He is mixing excitement with uncertainty. He is excited that his image will be zoomed on world televisions, however at the same time he is worried about the repercussions. Why? Because he has waged a war against good governance and the freedom of expression. Just before the AU summit President Jammeh has been slapped with the very negative MCC press release.

President Jammeh has been slapped with the very negative MCC press release.

This according to people I spoke to today has sent the Kanilai bad boy into deep depression. He hates seeing anything negative towards his government at this time, particularly when it is coming from the world's most powerful presidency. According to close sources President Jammeh will use the AU as an occasion thus sprinkle his rude remarks on the West again. He has been contemplating on doing so now he has the obvious reason. My close sources revealed that the President's speech writers have started changing the original version. He will come back as an old drunken so-called crude Pan Africanist. President Jammeh's Pan Africanism is based on personal feelings. He hates those who challenge his wickedness. If the challenger is in Africa or Gambia to be more specific Jammeh calls him or her an unwanted element. If he or she is abroad he calls him or her a slave master or colonialist.

Sure The Gambia and Gambians do not share these insane views coming from an angry serial killer. There is no society that has ever been freed from a killing leader without the helping hands of others abroad. This is why the USA helped Germans get out of the hands of Adolf Hitler. This is how Frelimo and other African organisations helped South Africa fight against apartheid. We as Gambians welcome external influence help send President Jammeh out of this peaceful culture. His styles of brute and torture are so alien to us as people. That is why Gambians unlike other parts of Africa have chosen to use the media while fighting against a ruthless ruler. If President Jammeh was to be the President of Ivory Coast then the civil war in that country might have gone beyond control. If he was to be a President of Senegal the Casamance rebellion might have spilled over every where. Despite what he has been doing to help fuel the war in Casamance Dakar has been using maturity to handle the situation. We as Gambians are so tired of this madness.

1st Lope Hole-Committee for the security of the AU-Mr Famara Jobarteh's

unprofessional approach.

The official mentioned here is  a member of the special committee for the security of the AU. I shook Famara's hands at the gathering. Famara is tall with a bulging belly. The source I spoke to at the gathering said Famara has links with the lineage of the Bansang Jobarteh's. According to the same source Famara has been in the force for two decades or more now. I have been seeing Mr Jobarteh for a while now with his light brown khaki uniform and some medals. He smiles a lot. Famara according to my source is known for being the 'cheboor' boy type, ie he loves life. We are of course trailing Famara these days to make sure that all that was said during the press conference does not deviate from the basics he promised everyone. Mr Jobarteh appealed to the public to cooperate with the security forces? Isn't that too late? This public is the very public President Jammeh threatens everyday with severe lessons of torture. This is the public that saw Daba Marenah being shot to death, this is the public that saw Alieu Jobe and others being tortured to coma, this is the very public that President Jammeh calls illegitimate sons and daughters. Today this President wants this public's cooperation all of a sudden? Even without a single and short apology?

2nd Lope Hole-5000 ID Cards issued to who and who? Why Algerians training Gambians? Is the timing good?

Mr Famara Jobarteh openly said that 5000 ID Cards were issued to personnel who will be charged with the responsibility of securing places and people? Worst of all these personnel are foreigners? Foreigners from where? When one thinks about the current trend in the world or when one thinks about about who and who are expected to attend the AU summit, anyone would then wonder....how on earth could our President think about leaning on Algerians alone to do the job? Why did Famara Jobarteh choose to mention only the Algerian team after all? An Algerian team of Security personnel training Gambian security personnel to beef up security where Western Diplomats are expected to be? Why didn't they invite Senegal being our closest neighbour? Senegalese have higher stakes in this than any other country because we share everything in common. In The Gambia today we have confusion being mixed with shamelessness. I could not stop myself from laughing when I saw Famara and some members of his team using the word 'salamalekum' before their Algerian trainees. Why capture this hypocritical trend when he Fams and his boys adore wine bottles? Why not be themselves for the sake of decency?

3rd Lope Hole-who attended the press conference?

I was not taken by surprise when I entered the place where Jobarteh was speaking to the handpicked press. Sure I was in because I had to be there whether they liked it or not. All one could see was the reddish eyes of people from the state owned media houses. I will not call the daily observer a pro-government paper, they are owned by the state. The point, foroyaa,Independent,Radio FM,West Coast(even if it is still wriggling through hot sand),Senegalese press,International press, were no where to be seen! But Famara went ahead calling this a press conference? Worst of all inviting the general public to cooperate with the security forces? I hope Famara understands what is meant by general public? How can one pull a cart without its wheels? How can one invite the general public to cooperate and then side line the Independent Press? What is the government hiding from those they are inviting to help them? This is absolutely absurd.

4Th Lope Hole-Fighting along the Gambian/Senegalese border.

There are 53 countries in Africa itself. These are the countries that form the AU. The Gambian President has taken the responsibility of hosting these heads of state including that of Senegal,Guinea Bissau and Cape Verde? Is everything cool and dandy between President Jammeh and Dakar,Bissau or Cape Verde? I do not think so because I had the privilege of listening to someone from one of those countries during the press conference. She came in to listen to what was being said. These countries's presidents are not fools. They will never send their leaders to Banjul just like that, when in the past President Jammeh has been accused of doing harmful things to their people. He is yet to clear his name on those accusations. How can President Jammeh reassure the Senegalese President of his full protection when Casamance rebels are fighting within the outskirts of Siliti? How can he reassure Guinea Bissau's President of his full security when Salif Sadio is fighting against Dieme loyalists whereas Dieme was/is being backed by Bissau to help stop the Casamance rebellion? How can President Jammeh show his support to President Viera when he is being accused of financing the the Salif Sadio faction? Whereas Salif Sadio is wanted in Bissau and Dakar? How could Salif Sadio succeed in capturing 17 villages along the Senegal-Gambia border if he was not armed by a government? These are issues the advance parties of these Presidents have started asking themselves. President Jammeh has to know that even truck drivers can come in and out of The Gambia as advance parties to help secure the lives of their presidents while in Banjul to attend the AU summit. The Gambia is divided within and without there is no way that any seasoned security personnel will trust what Famara Jobarteh presented to those he spoke to. The situation is volatile and President Jammeh knows it. He should not blame the Gambian public for any wrong. He himself maybe hatching evil plans against some of his neighbours. This has to be spread out right from this moment before it becomes too late for those heads of state to protect themselves.

No one is making up stories against President Jammeh, his CHIAKAS and his family members are the ones who reveal everything around him. Aziz Tamba knows very well where Salif Sadio is. He knows where they meet at a Marabout's house. He also knows where he meets Dieme's own men in Guinea Bissau at a marabout's place. Gambians cannot simply fold their hands and look at President Jammeh ruin our peaceful traditions. We do not want to see a bad result that is why we are exposing the hidden side of things so that the evil president can stop where he is now. He is being followed every second. Who knows what special missions the CHIAKAS have been assigned when it comes to securing those visiting neighbours? And it is the CHIAKAS that Jammeh will assign to handle special security issues! There is no doubt about that.
