never absconded-Says a Board member of Observer-Sports Minister Omar
Fye accuse of spreading "false news" and authorising the publication
of Freedom Newspaper subscribers.

Former State House Press Director,
now New Sports Minister Omar Fye, is said to have ordered the Daily
Observer Editorial management to publish the names of the Freedom
Newspaper subscribers, who were referred to as "informants" to this
leading Newspaper,the Freedom Newspaper gathered. Fye who was
compensated for his role on the Freedom Newspaper hacking is also
spreading lies against Dr.Saja Taal that Taal was on the run which is
baseless and unfounded. Fye is using his office to black mail the likes
of Saja Taal, with the sole aim of getting him sacked. Saja Taal is at work
at the Observer and has never been arrested by the NIA. The Freedom
Newspaper has good and loyal sources at the heart of the Daily
Observer, who confirmed to us that Taal has never absconded and was
still reporting to work. Omar Fye for some reasons harbored grudges
against Taal, which we do not want to reveal at this hour, but what is
clear is that he and Mam Sait Ceesay are hell bent on undermining Saja
Taal.

Even though Saja Taal is our arch critic, the truth has to
be reported. The man has never absconded from the jurisdiction of The
Gambia, said a board member of the Observer company. In fact, our source said he spotted Taal at the Daily Observer
on Thursday morning, a day which was declared as a national holiday.The
same source hinted that Taal has been reporting to work for the past
two weeks and they were aware of the malicious propaganda Fye has been
spearheading to get Taal fired.
Omar Fye is a cool man killer.
The same Omar Fye undermined Samba Faal from his Ministerial post.We
can comfortably say that Omar Fye might have been the one who
volunteered the unsolicited news tip off about the so called disappearance of
Saja Taal to this paper, which we refused to publish. We at the Freedom
Newspaper are too smart to be fooled by a novice and criminal like Omar
Fye. Fye is trying to settle old scores with people he perceived as his
stumbling block. The Freedom Newspaper refuses to be used for such a dirty fight.
The same Omar Fye might be writing under the banner of a
pen name to undermine Jammeh. If Omar Fye can lie against Saja Taal, a
folk he considered as his brother in the struggle to legitimize the
repressive and dictatorial APRC government, what will stop him from
exposing Jammeh? Omar Fye is not credible at all and we at the Freedom
Newspaper will always double check information Fey is volunteering. Our
loyal sources will always be protected no matter what. But the likes of
Omar Fye should be exposed because they are liars.
We thank
God for protecting us from Omar Fye's lies deception campaigns. It would have been a
different story if we had ran the said piece on Saja Taal. Saja is
still the MD of the Daily Observer. As a word of advise,from now on
Gambians should be weary of Omar Fye. The man is a liar and deceiver.
If his objective is to undermine the Freedom Newspaper, he will fail.
We don't mind putting our pieces on hold just to get to the bottom of
the truth. Mails from unknown sources are usually scrutinized here at
Freedom. We know for a fact that not all those who paraded themselves
as supporters of Freedom are true supporters. Out of the lot, there are
some with ulterior motives.Such people know themselves. We always treat them a with pinch of salt.The Freedom Newspaper cannot be used for a ride to settle old scores.We are committed to true journalism and not the type of junk journalism practiced by people bent on distorting the truth.
We thought it imperative to expose
Omar Fye so that Gambians and the whole world can know the deadly
nature of this shameless and vindictive dude. Fye is working hand in hand
with Ebou Jallow and some unnamed folks to smear the Freedom Newspaper.They will fail in their bid to bring us down.The Freedom Newspaper caresless about how one views us as a paper, but as far as we are concerned our credibility is intact. We don't give a damn about how Pateh or Samba feels about our critical reportage of national issues. The public interest comes first before anything. Let Omar Fye and his accomplices bear this in mind. We don't have time for petty talks at this hour. Our country is in crisis and no one can distract us from this pressing national issue. We don't have time for games.
Our findings also
reveals that Mam Sait Ceesay still works at the State House as Press
officer. Sources have it that Ceesay doubled as Observer editor cum
State House press officer. Both Omar Fye and Mam Sait were instrumental
in exposing the names of our innocent subscribers on the worldwide web.
What we cannot fathom at this hour is that why are the two trying to
undermine Taal, who conspired with them to smear the Freedom Newspaper.
A source who spoke to us said Omar Fye is trying to pave way for Mam
Sait Ceesay to serve as Observer MD.This is very unGambian.Why the back
stabbings at this hour? The job seekers should hold their horse and refrain from using people's names to meet their selfish desires.
The same Omar Fye promises President
Jammeh that he can convince some of his arch opponents to cross to the
APRC. Perhaps, Fey should start with his own relatives first before
pursuing his faked dream. Charity begins at home. Fye should take care of his own backyard before wasting his time on faked ventures. Fye is a traitor who
should not be accommodated by any government committed to the
Millennium goals. The man is corrupt and vicious.
In as much as
we are against Dr.Taal unprincipled stances, we will not hesitate to
expose corrupt officials in the Jammeh government hell bent on
undermining innocent Gambians. In a nutshell, we are saying that Saja
Taal has never been an informant to the Freedom Newspaper. He was
rather our critic and perceived enemy. Omar Fye should get a life and
stop the back stabbing.With or without Omar Fye, the Freedom Newspaper
will continue to rattle Jammeh's cage. We rest our case.
