NDEA Officer Accused Of Murdering Manjai Alleged Drug Dealer Absconds To Casamance!
Lamin Jarju, a member of the National Drug Enforcement Agency NDEA who was recently linked to the murder of a Manjai-Kunda man one Abdouraman Jobe, has absconded to his native country in the Southern province of Casamance Senegal, the Freedom Newspaper can report. Mr. Jarju, who was a Narcotic Control Assistant 1 officer (NCA1) was born and raised in Casamance before immigrating to the Gambia, where he worked at the President’s Kaniali Farm before joining the NDEA. He was among the President’s rangers guards stationed at his Kanilai Farm.
A senior NDEA officer said: “Lamin Jarju has absconded to Casamance. We have received credible information that he is in Casamance. He used to work at the President’s Farm as a ranger before joining our unit. He is from Casamance. After killing Abdouramn Jobe, he has fled from the country. So far one of the NDEA volunteers has surrendered himself, but Mr. Jarju is nowhere to be seen.”
According to the NDEA officer, Lamin Jarju was at some point posted in Soma before he was transferred to Manjie-Kunda. The officer said Jarju is not a Gambian.
“This is a country which has been hijacked by the President’s tribesmen from Casamance. About 99 percent of the cleaners in our offices are from Casamance. There are MFDC rebels working with the NDEA, the police, prison, and the army. This chap used to work as a ranger at the President’s Kanilai Farm. Even if you call Ben Jammeh he will tell you that Lamin Jarju is in Casamance at this hour. This is what’s happening in this country. Folks from Casamance will come here assimilate into the system; commit crime and leave without traces. I heard Essa Sey in one of his programs talking about the Kanilai rangers. Yes, he is right. They are here embedded within the system,” said our source.
Our source also confirmed the recent Freedom story on the Abacha container money that was shipped to the Gambia. The source said the current Deputy CDS Ousman Badjie benefited from the Abacha money.
“ Ousman Badjie confided to us that he received a briefcase filled with US dollars from the Abacha money that was shipped to the Gambia. You can ask former ADC Kalifa Bajinka, he will tell you something about the Abacha money, and the briefcase of cash Ousman Badjie received on the day in question,” said a source close to the Jammeh State House.
“That was one of the reasons why Ousman Badjie was appointed as an ADC. I wish Alamamo Manneh was alive. He can tell you something about the Abacha container money. Your story is one hundred percent factual.”
In another development, Salifa Sarjo, the MFDC leader and his Deputy had a meeting with General Borra Colley in Sindolla Kanilai three weeks before the recent rebel attack in Casamance. Our source said the attack was hatched in Kanilai.
“Contrary to the BBC’S reporter’s claims that the attack might have to do with the rebel’s struggle that was launched in the month of December, I can report to you that the attack had do with the regional bloc’s decision to declare Jammeh’s re-election as illegitimate. The MFDC rebels are being remote control by Banjul to avenge the ECOWAS’S decision to boycott the polls. The recent attack was politically motivated. Salifu Sarjo and his Deputy were here in Sindolla Kanilai to meet with Borra Colley. We know what was discussed. The President is trying to use the attack so that Wade will attend his inauguration to discuss peace in Casamance. He is also angry that Senegal is siding with ECOWAS to boycott the polls,” said our source.
In another development, another Gambian was killed in Lamin last night. The man received a late night call from an unknown caller. When he responded to the caller by showing up outside, he was murdered. A top security chief said the case is similar to that of the airport aviation worker, who was murdered under similar circumstances.
