Breaking News: Gambia: President Jammeh’s Drug Dealer Friend General Bubo Arrested In Bissau Foiled Coup!
President Jammeh’s Drug Dealer Friend General Bubo Arrested In Bissau Foiled Coup!

President Yahya Jammeh’s closest friend and renowned drug dealer Guinea Bissau Navy Chief of Staff Jose Americo Bubo Na Tchuto, has been arrested with other army officials in a foiled coup attempt, the Freedom Newspaper can report. Mr. Bubo, and his fellow coupists failed in their attempt to dislodge the democratically elected Government of President Malam Bacai Sanha, who is undergoing medical treatment in France. The news of the foiled coup was announced on Monday by the Guinean authorities.

The main mastermind of the coup Jose Americo Bubo Na Tchuto was engaged in a similar subversive activity back in 2007, when he spearheaded a coup against the administration of the late Guinean President Neino Viera. Bubo then resettled in the Gambia, where dictator Jammeh granted him political sanctuary.

During his stay in the Gambia, Bubo was alleged to have hatched a plot with other security chiefs in Bissau to assassinate President Viera and his army chief of staff. He also works with South American drug cartels to smuggle drugs into the Gambia with the help of his host President Jammeh, Sillaba Samateh, a Dutch Gambian businessman alleges during an interview with Freedom Radio. Mr. Samateh, said he was privileged to meet with Bubo while being secretly hosted by the Jammeh regime. Bubo had confided to him about Jammeh’s nefarious business activities in the region.

General Bubo is on the United States State Department’s list of drug traffickers, who had their assets frozen. He has been declared as a notorious drug dealer working with South America drug cartels to smuggle drugs into Guinea Bissau.

Mr. Jammeh paid for the boat that ferried Bubo to the Gambia in the wake of the Bissau foiled coup. A GRTS Cameraman filmed Bubo’s arrival in the coastal fishing village of Tanji overnight, where the former State Guard Commander Serign Momodou Njie personally hand delivered the money to the crew. Mr. Njie, a retired army chief now works at the Gambian Embassy in India.  He is the Deputy Chief of Mission.

The backgrounder is aimed at exposing Mr. Jammeh’s meddling into Bissau’s political life. He wants to remote control Bissau while in his villa in Kanilai.

Fingers are pointing at Jammeh that he is the main man pulling the strings in Bissau by way of destabilizing that country. Mr. Samateh also alleged that Jammeh is in complicit in the assassination of late President Viera.
