Gambia: Breaking News: GAMBIAN ARMY ON STANDBY ALONG SENEGAL/GAMBIA BORDER!
GAMBIAN ARMY ON STANDBY ALONG SENEGAL/GAMBIA BORDER!

Gambian soldiers stationed at the Dasilami military barracks said they have been on standby since President’s Wade’s threat to pursue MFDC rebels in Gambia’s soil. The soldiers have been confined on Barracks for weeks before being relieved to go home and visit their families.

“ As we speak, our men are in full combat gears. They are armed to the teeth when going to bed. Everyone here is on standby. We are not taking President’s Wade’s threats lightly.  Anything could happen,” said a senior Gambian army officer who spoke to this paper.

“ President Jammeh is increasingly worried about his safety. He abandoned us here when the nation’s national security is in jeopardy.  A responsible commander-in-chief would have stayed home until the Gambia/Senegal border issues is normalized, but he left the country without a tangible reason. No one here can tell us what this clown is doing in the US.”

According to our source, Senegal’s claims that MFDC rebels are being harbored in the Gambia is a fact. The source said MFDC rebels are working hand with the President’s patrol team in Kanilai.

“It would be difficult for peace to rain in Casamance. Our patrol team in Kanilai work with the MFDC rebels.  Salifu Sarjo was here not long ago. President Wade knows what he is talking about. If Senegal should invade this country, it would be stunned by the number of MFDC fighters scattered in the Fonis.  General Borra Colley, has been very instrumental in coordinating the activities of the MFDC men here on the ground,” said our source.
