2012 DIASPORA MEETING: DOs AND DON'Ts
By Town Crier
I know this message is coming rather too late for those of you heading out to answer the call of the dictator. Has he already left the shores of USA where he's hiding as those there don't seem to know his whereabouts. Why hide warrior? Dogs back louder when they are closer home, not away. This is Yaya Jammeh.
If you must go, here are a couple of Dos and Don'ts.
1. Grab a banana or two and possibly an orange.
2. Eat at home before you leave.
3. Avoid all beverages served at the meeting.
4. Avoid the bread they serve you at the meeting.
5. Avoid the Bena-chin with the tempting fish.
6. Avoid speaking your mind to Gambians in that meeting if you don't know them.
7. After the meeting, take some security measures. If possible change locations.
8. Ask for a visit to Kanilai.
9. Access the foreign base online newspapers.
10. Watch out as you drive around town.
The list can go on and on. You add the rest. And here are my reasons for the above. We are dealing with a voodoo witch doctor hunter. He will not hesitate to use the same tactics to hurt or maim anyone. Be wary of him. If possible get out of that country immediately after the meeting. If you ever visit Kanilai, it must be in groups. Be wary of his loose killing machine and abductors in the streets. If they can use a GPA vehicle to interrupt the free movement of Henry Gomez, don't be surprised if they use a rider, taxi or even a tractor to trail you. You must be your own security. Never venture out your safe havens to meet strange callers at night.
For those that are going to be given the opportunity to have a private tet-a-tet with him, play the smart ass and nod your head to all his evil intentions. Get out there safely and do the opposite for there is no doubt in my mind that he will try to plant some bad ideas in some of you who will be visiting. NIAs are going to be among you, so no talking to strangers unless you know them perfectly well. Avoid the Kanilai bread if you can. Be your own guide. Hide your travel details. Watch those processing your documents as you enter Banjul International Airport. Look for trailing vehicles. Change routes often. Be safe out there and bring us the empty basket as all the good oranges and tomatoes you take along with you will be picked up, dumped into the dust bin. Safe journey.
