A FUMING DICTATOR JAMMEH LANDS IN BANJUL AS HE SNUBS GRTS REPORTERS!
Dictator Yahya Jammeh arrived in Banjul today as an angry man. The Gambian despot refuses to talk to local journalists upon his arrival at the airport. He was escorted straight to his palace without formal ceremonies.
A source who showed up at the airport to welcome Jammeh said: “ any crazy thing could happen in days to come. The President appeared very angry and depressed. He is not a happy man. We are also worried about what’s going to happen.”
Mr. Jammeh will not accord the state media press briefing. For example, he will not entertain questions about the outcome of his US trip, why he was in the US, and what’s the fate of his family.
During his previous US trips, Jammeh will brief the press about his trip, but this time around, he refuses to talk to anyone. He left the airport immediately after the guard of honor accorded to him.
All is not well in Banjul, as Dictator Yahya Jammeh’s personal cook (Chef) including the State House’s Catering staffers are helping Gambia’s intelligent agents to identify a member of the State House kitchen staff, who is accused of poisoning a member of the Jammeh family, the Freedom Newspaper can report. Staffers questioned by the NIA, according to our dependable source, said the interrogation took hours, and questions relating to secret food poisoning involving the Jammeh family dominated the NIA interviews.
The agency’s investigations centered on the kitchen staffers activities dating two weeks prior to the incident. Suspects were asked about their daily routine; people they interact with; places they visited in the past two weeks; whether they are in the habit of bringing food stuff into the State House.
Details are scanty at this hour as to who among the Jammeh family is affected by the secret poisoning. Either dictator Yahya Jammeh, his wife Zeinab Suma Jammeh, or one of the pair’s siblings have been poisoned, prompting an immediate evacuation of the patient to the United States for further medical attention, a trusted source close to the Jammeh State House in Banjul told the Freedom Newspaper.
According to our source: “ I have been talking to some of the kitchen staffers interviewed by the NIA. Two of the interviewed staffers appeared very worried and nervous. They told me that they were asked a wide range of questions about their job; whether they bring lunch at the State House, the people they met for the past two weeks, and so forth. There is panic and confusion here at the State House as we speak.”
“Senior officers in the army are increasingly worried about what will be Ogaa’s reaction when he returns home safely. Anything could happen! We are on heighten alert. A case of secret poisoning involving the Jammeh family is being investigated. It’s a top state secret.”
Another source told the Freedom Newspaper that he is aware of the incident, but asked to be given time until late Thursday evening to state his own side of the story.
“ Yes, there is a case of secret poisoning involving the Jammeh family. If you call me on Thursday evening, I should be able to furnish you with the relevant facts,” said our source.
President Yahya Jammeh left Banjul this past Thursday onboard a commercial flight for the United States. His trip was rather impromptu—leaving local citizens to speculate about the circumstances surrounding his US trip. His wife, and two kids were already in the US prior to Jammeh’s sudden departure.
A source said anxiety and worry continue to grip Jammeh’s cabinet. State Ministers are not opening up about Jammeh’s trip due to fear of causing national alarm. A cabinet source said the President had no choice but to leave Banjul. The source said they have been kept out of the loop about Jammeh's trip for security reasons. The source added that few of his colleagues have been briefed about the incident.
“ This is a big story. If the NIA can invite Jammeh’s personal Chef, and kitchen staffers, this goes to show that national security has been endangered. The most interesting thing about the whole investigation is that even the NIA investigators are not willing to pinpoint the person among the Jammeh family poisoned. I can tell you that there is fear in this country. We hope and pray that everything goes well,” said a source close to the State House.
