Edward Singhatey Has Been Under Surveillance Since His Sacking As A Minister!

Edward Singhatey, the former Fisheries Minister, now a local magistrate, has been on Jammeh’s watch list since his sacking, a member of Jammeh’s surveillance team attached to the former state Minister tells the Freedom Newspaper.  A twenty four hours surveillance monitoring network is being mounted on Singhatey—with the view of preventing him from leaving the country, our source hinted.  Mr. Singhatey, has been barred from travelling beyond the frontiers of the Gambia. His case has been worsen largely due to his brother’s sudden departure from the country unnoticed.

The Kanilai monster said he wants Edward activities be monitored on a daily basis. He also thinks that if Edward is allowed to leave the country, he is likely to release “damaging information” against his regime.  That’s why the monster has sent a stern warning to Edward’s junior brother through other contacts that his “captive brother” now under his direct watchful eyes  will pay a heavy price if he Peter ever discusses  his “government’s secrets” to the outside world—most importantly the online press, our source disclosed.  

Peter is privy to a lot of Jammeh’s atrocities, but due to Edward’s continued presence in the Gambia, he is not at liberty to speak out.  He was sacked from the army without reasonable cause. He was second  in command in Gambia’s armed forces, but due to increasing insecurity and paranoia, the dictator decided to prematurely end his career.

According to our source, Edward Singhatey, could not travel to the UK to meet his family due to the travel ban imposed on him by the dictator.  His movements has been curtailed.  The people he interacts with, the places he hangout,  and the phone calls he made are being closely monitored, our source said.

The surveillance team assigned to Edward Singhatey are beginning to  question the rationale behind such a waste of state resources.  For example, they cannot come to terms why Ogaa (Yaya Jammeh) should devote all his valuable time and state resources to monitor Edward’s activities within the country.  

Edward having a passport in his possession doesn’t guarantee his safe exit from the Gambia. He is being closely watched by Jammeh’s murder enterprise. That we can report with authority. 

It’s up to Mr. Singhatey to take precautionary measures to avoid being taken by surprise by Jammeh’s thugs.  Their dirty and malicious plot has been exposed by the Freedom Newspaper.

Since Edward was not allowed to leave the country after his sacking, he took a wise move by enrolling at the University of the Gambia law faculty. He graduated and was subsequently absorbed by the judiciary under the capacity of a magistrate. 

We know for a fact that Edward cannot live a comfortable life in the Gambia without a job.  He needs a job to feed his family. The dictator giving him a job doesn’t guaranty his safety.  He should bear in mind that Jammeh is working behind his back. The Kanilai dictator has hatched a dangerous plot against the Singhateys.  The world should be aware of Jammeh’s murder enterprise!   Watch your back Edward Singhatey!
