Gambia: Breaking News: YAHYA JAMMEH FIRES HIS ADC PA ALI GIBBA!
YAHYA JAMMEH FIRES HIS ADC PA ALI GIBBA!

Yaya Jammeh has fired his ADC shortly after his return from his United States medical treatment, the Freedom Newspaper can report. ADC Pa Ali Gibba, an army Captain was dismissed without reason. The dictator merely ordered for Gibba’s  termination from the armed forces without giving reason to justify his ill-fated decision.

Prior to his posting to the State House as an ADC,  Mr. Gibba served as a financial clerk at the Armed Forces Headquarters in Banjul. He was promoted from the rank of  Corporal to Captain shortly after assuming the functions of an ADC to Yahya Jammeh.  His promotion took effect on March 24 2010.

The Kanilai monster is acting outside the dictates of the constitution to transform the army as his personal property. The majority of the promotions and dismissals Jammeh sanctions do not conform with the country’s supreme law—the constitution.

In another development the sacked state guards soldiers have been reinstated.  The soldiers have been redeployed to other units within the armed forces.

About seventeen state guard soldiers, and an army Lieutenant were  dismissed for not voting in the Presidential elections, an army official said Thursday. More sackings are expected in days to come, the army official tells the Freedom Newspaper.

The soldiers were reported by their Commander Brigadier General Alhagie Martin, who told the Head of State Yahya Jammeh that the soldiers in question failed to secure voters card that will enable them to be able to vote in the elections.

The sacked soldiers were arrested shortly after Jammeh’s declaration as the winner of the November 24 Presidential elections. They were detained at the Fajara Military Barracks for about two weeks before being let go by the army.

The sacked soldiers were identified as:

1.        Lt. Isatou Trawally

2.      Sergeant Dembo Jobarteh

3.       Corporal Alieu Cambi

4.       Lance Corporal Essa Kurubally

5.        Private Tahiru Sanneh

6.        Private Binta Badjie

7.         Private Mario Mendy

8.           Private Amat Jeng

Meanwhile, the State Guard Commander Alhagie Martin has been redeployed to Kanilai to head the patrol team. Saul Badjie is now the new State Guard Commander.
