Jammeh Fires State House Chief Protocol Officer Alhagie Ceesay!

Gambia’s erratic dictator Yahya Jammeh has fired his longest serving Chief Protocol officer Alhagie Ceesay, with immediate effect, the Freedom Newspaper can authoritatively report. The decision was reached upon Jammeh’s return from his African Union Summit in Ethiopia, State House sources said.

“ Our mentally unstable “leader” has parted company with the Head of the State House Protocol Team Alhagie Ceesay this evening.  He has dismissed Alhagie  today on arrival from his overseas trip.  Alhagie has been sacked with immediate effect,” said our source.

As usual, no reason has been advanced for Mr. Ceesay’s sacking. He was merely informed that his services  with The Gambian Government has been terminated.  There was no further explanation to justify the sacking. 

Very few people in Banjul are aware of Ceesay’s sacking. Our source alerted us as soon as Ceesay receives his sacking letter to prove to the Kanilai monster that our agents have been circulated in all the corners of the state house.  Jammeh’s movements are being closely trailed.

Alhagie Ceesay, is the longest serving Protocol officer at the State House in Banjul. He has been working with Jammeh since the advent of the July 22d coup, which toppled the 30 years Jawara regime. His colleagues spoke highly of Mr. Ceesay’s professionalism and dedication to duty.  He is a bilingual.  Mr. Ceesay is fluent in both English and French, sources said.

The Gambian leader is increasingly worried about the leakage of “state secrets” to the US based Freedom Newspaper by Government whistleblowers, who are disenchanted with his regime’s growing culture of corruption and maladministration. The few competent technocrats who refused to be part of his corruption scheme are being shown the exit door.
