PRESIDENT JAMMEH APPOINTS FATIM BADJIE AND KEBBA S. TOURAY MINISTERS

Still on his Constitutional Mandate, the President of the Republic of the Gambia relying on the Constitutional provisions of section 71, 73, 71 (1) and 71 (3) of the Constitution of the Republic of the Gambia has appointed Hon. Fatim Badjie Minister of Health and Social Welfare and Hon. Kebba S. Touray Minister of Trade Regional Integration and Employment on the 7th of February, 2012 as confirmed by the press release from the office of the President.
Readers will recall that the President, Professor Yahya Jammeh has dissolved the entire Cabinet last week relying on his powers vested on him by the Gambian Constitution of 1997, and at the same time using the same provisions of the Constitution by reinstating and re- appointing Ministers of his choice as dictated by the supreme law of the Land.
