BANJUL, THE GAMBIA- Gambia’s President Yahya Jammeh has appointed Lamin Kitti Jabang as Ambassador to the Republic of Saudi Arabia with immediate effect. In a statement issued today, the government says Jabang will also served as the country’s permanent representative to the Organization of Islamic conference (OIC).
Mr.Jabang’s appointment followed the returned of his assets by the President. Jabang was a one time foreign Affairs Minister under the First Republic. He replaces Lamin Kaba Bajo was recently appointed as Foreign Minister.
In another major political development, MC Cham , Assan Musa Camara and other opposition supporters today in a surprising move announced their allegiance for President Jammeh and his government.
